We stayed one night at the Farmhouse Hayloft in the Juniper room and were very dissatisfied with our stay and the ridiculously high rate which we were charged. Pros: A bed(not comfortable) and running water Cons: Check in over the phone was painfully slow and the person helping didn't know the inn's policies. Charge of $318 for one night ($75/dog for two non-shedding, well behaved golden doodles) for a room that measured apprx. 9 x 11, with slanted floor, little storage and a tiny bathroom with a toilet not balanced properly. There was no delivery of scones or pastries (as they advertise) because the innkeeper "forgot". We expressed our disappointment with the manager and she said she would speak with the inn's owner and perhaps offer a discount for a future stay. We have not heard a word back. If you're planning a trip to beautiful Madeline Island, I recommend that you do so far in advance so as to avoid being in the position we were in. Staying at a third rate accommodation which is poorly managed which failed to deliver advertsed amenities and being charged a ridiculously high rate for the experience.
