This place is the mom and Pop shop who may not have a fancy place but they have pride in their food and great customer service. Their tuna was FIRE. Melt in your mouth, so good. We WILL be back.

Got this as takeout for the first time and it did not impress. Dragon roll barely had unagi glaze. The California roll had plain sliced imitation crab and overall tasted plain. The only redeeming thing was the nigiri and the rice. The quality seems to be good. See pictures for two very plain looking and plain tasting rolls.

I used to live much closer, and I would order from this place all the time. Just went back last week when I was in the area, and it's still as good as I remember! The food has always been delicious, the service fast and consistent, prices very reasonable - it's always a go-to good experience. Atmosphere all depends on what you're looking for - sometimes the best places are the ones where there isn't enough room to sit down; this is one of those places. Highly recommend!

The tofu in the miso soup was not great, the broth was tasty though! The sushi was great! The staff was very patient with us taking our time to figure out what to order, and it was done in 10 minutes or so. The food is one of our top sushi options.

I have never been so disappointed ordering food before that I have to write negative review here. I ordered salmon donburi for $18+ it failed to meet even my lowest expectation, what I received was a bowl of unseasoned white rice and a few slices of unseasoned raw salmon and crab on top, there were no sauce, no vegetables, no chives, nothing. I also ordered seafood fried rice which is plain and flavorless, it looks to me it's just rice stirred in soy sauce with a few shrimp, no garlic, no chives, and I don't even taste salt. I do think this is the most overpriced and lowest quality food that I have had, I will never order from this place ever again.

Found out I can get the same "pick 3 rolls" option as sushi express with a lot less walking and less hassle of traffic for just a few more cents! It was very good!

So good for take out sashimi. Never been disappointed here.Dietary restrictions: I'm gluten free and note it in the order and they do not put the mock crab in my order. Love not to waste something I can't eat. :D

Very disappointed in the sushi. Husband picked up dinner for me and he left it in the fridge for about an hour. Came home and tried to eat it but the sushi would get stuck to each other and rip off and unroll everything inside. I sadly couldn't even eat it, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

We ordered 5 different sushi rolls (2 specialty, 3 regular), miso soup, and crab rangoons and the food overall was absolutely fantastic! The amount of protein within each roll was amazing, the tofu pieces in the miso soup was *chefs kiss*, and the crab Rangoons were, by far, the best I’ve ever had in Madison. Breading to filling ratio was literally perfect. Will definitely be going back as a regular!
