Dinner was truly fabulous. The spices in both our dishes were perfectly balanced. We had the mango curry and Bandung Rica plus lumpia (egg roll). The lumpia came out fast and hot...delicious! The beef was tender, vegetables fresh and perfectly prepared. Will be back soon!

I LOVE INDONESIAN FOOD! Everything was absolutely delicious. Food came out in a timely manner. The selection was amazing. I haven't had mi goreng or nasi goreng or satay in almost a year and I missed it so much!

I've ordered takeout from here a few times.I haven't had other Indonesian food but the flavors have always been amazing and I love their tempeh.

This is some of the best Asian food in Madison! Prices are a little high, but the portion sizes are huge! You will end up with leftovers for sure. I also love how many of their options are vegan or can be made vegan. Their addition of tempeh as a vegetarian protein source instead of just tofu is great! We will be back.

4 of us ordered 4 different dishes and raved about each one of them. If I lived closer, I'd eat there at least twice a week.

Parking is very limited, do be aware. Food is decent, but not great. You'll get a good meal, and ok value. I've been there a couple of times, but they really need to get their ordering worked out. There are menus and a website. The waiter hands you a menu but tells you to order from the site, with an indication that there's some sort of rebate. The content and prices differ between the two, and the ordering feels like I'm being fleeced at a used car dealership. Just print a complete menu and be done, folks.

Bandung is the best! Excellent food and service. The Pad Thai and Indo Mac are two of my very favorite dishes but everything I've eaten here is amazing. Highly recommend!

I LOVE this place. So many tasty options. It might be basic, but the nasi goreng is fantastic and my favorite dish on the menu. I feel like not enough people in Madison talk about this place. It's truly under the radar for most people, when it should be talked about a lot more! I love the unique flavors and the service is also great. I go here often and try to tell as many people about this place as possible. Thank you Bandung!

We were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant still open - we had enjoyed it several times when visiting Madison years ago, but hadn't been back to the area for more than 10 years. They've remodeled the place, and have changed over to an online menu system where you pretty much need to order your food online even if you're sitting right there in the restaurant. No matter - the waitress helped us through the process :) She explained that the online ordering system was the way they were able to make it through the pandemic. Years ago, we had totally enjoyed the Rijstaffel: a huge meal with many courses. They still have that available, though in a smaller form: we got the "Mini Rijstaffel for 2." With that, we got to select three dishes from a list of choices - we went with Gado Gado, Sambal Papaya, and Ayam Kunyit. We added an appetizer as well: Martabak Telor. All were excellent and much enjoyed. Can't get that at home! The restaurant is small - we were glad that we hadn't brought a large group. Parking can be tight - the restaurant is in a strip mall with a small parking lot, and the adjacent area is busy. Be prepared to hunt for a space if necessary.
