I don't even know where it start. This was one of the best BBQ experiences I have had this year. Everything was delicious. The service from father and son was a great experience and exciting. I got brisket to go, fatter and lean daughter didn't care for the lean. they fix the order to make her happy without a question. I will visit BB BBQ again and again. If you are ever in the area or just want to travel. This is a must stop. Everything had deep smoke flavor, tender and moist. Seasoning was on point. The one thing that was basic was the cornbread. But I was not there for the cornbread. Not called Cornbread butter BBQ LOL. Everyone go and enjoy this place and tell them I said HI!!!!!

This is no chain and the attention detail shows pride of local ownership. Located on Madison’s NE side it is worth a trip across town, down state or get on a plane good food.

I heard Beef Butter BBQ had really good food. I spent $40 dollars on two dinners. I got the beef brisket, and my husband got the BBQ ribs. My brisket was EXTREMELY dry. I had a hard time swallowing it. My husband's ribs were kind of edible after he put lots of BBQ sauce that we had at home on it. There was hardly any meat on the ribs. I don't know if we just got there at a bad time (around 6:30 p.m.) or what??? The coleslaw was bland. The mashed potatoes with gravy and the baked beans were good.

Ribs were overcooked with no flavor, The bbq sauce couldn’t save them. Almost feels like they were reheated. Tender in some areas than tough as leather in other.The Mac & cheese was like cheese soup and noodles, again no flavor. Just a sad white cheddar sauce that tasted like it came out of a box but they added too much milk.Apple pie beans, happy I got some apples this time but what did you guys do with the spice rack? Everything tasted like it came out of a can.The cornbread tasted like it was made days ahead, I can tell it’s from scratch but there’s no way that was remotely fresh or made the day of.Crinkle cut fries were soggy and cold, didn’t seem salted just greasy and limp.Not sure how they can call that pecan pie? The crust non existent basically a slimy sugary sponge. I guess I should’ve gotten the chocolate dipped instead because that would’ve masked the soft cake-like texture. The slice size very small, not a typical pie dish. Just expect soggy sugar square like it was purchased at a gas station.I spent good money on bbq and received a cold sloppy mess like it was someone’s first cookout. Bland, empty food. Please don’t donate a meal and put first responders through this guaranteed stomach ache, they deserve better.

We’ve been here twice, the first time all the food was amazing. The brisket specifically was stellar. We came back for brisket this time and it was basically inedible, very dry and chipped apart very easily. Overall we are disappointed that it’s been hit or miss, we were really looking forward to good barbecue and for the price it’s not worth coming back with a 50/50 shot at getting good food.

The atmosphere was comfortable, energetic, and positive. The two guys behind the counter were so enthusiastic about the product and customer service. My boss and I are here for lunch and I couldn't have had a better time. The tables and eating area were clean. The best part of all was the food. There was nothing but good things to say about our plate. The apple pie baked beans were amazing. The mashed potatoes were delicious. BEST OF ALL, THE BRISKET/RIBS/JALAPENO SAUSAGE WAS DELICIOUS. It melts in your mouth and truly takes so full of flavor. We recommend to ANYONE to stop by!
