I’ve been here a handful of times and always had a good time. But when trying to go recently they were not open during their posted hours…no sign on the door or anything. If you’re not going to be open when you’re suppose to be, at least put a note on your front door…

I really like this place. It’s kind of a hidden bar as the entrance is a bit inconspicuous and you have to walk down a set of stairs to get inside. Good prices. Good service.

Once you stumble into this hole in the all...you may never return. There is a diamond so bright in this place. Your shoes might stick a bit to the floor but embrace the vibe. They have some awesome ambiance and sling drinks even the stiffest of barflys will live!

Last night which was 11/06/2021 to be specific. Me and my cousin were waiting in line shortly after we arrived we were approached by a black male that claimed it was his birthday and that if we gave him 10 dollars he’d let us in we told him no then he lowered it to 5 dollars then continued to lie and say it was last call at 1:06am that we were wasting our time waiting in line. While waiting he let several of his friends in before any of the people who’ve waited in line for 15 mins. He was touching random girls and letting them in, instead of managing the line he pulled people to the side to take pictures of his weak outfit and afterwards let them in without having to wait in line. We finally got in around 1:28am and I noticed one of the bartenders was on his phone hiding behind the ice instead of helping people at the counter which cause a hostile environment.
This place is not built with everyone in mind. The ceilings are low as hell, it is not designed for anyone over 6’1”. Fire the architect and rebuild the place

I tried to go to City Bar but Alan, the bouncer working, was being racist to me. I asked to go in to meet my friends and he said no. I asked for clarification and he asked "do you speak english?" I am a fluent English speaker, yet he profiled me. Would not go to this bar ever again. Especially if you care about racial minorities.

As if you don't already knows City Bar's strawberry vodka press is out of this world. Super refreshing and dangerous . You will not be disappointed. My mom and my girlfriend are obsessed. This place holds so many memories. The interior is nothing to write home about but the staff is friendly and the food is much better than excepted. They could really vamp this place up with a little TLC, design, and paint. The inside hasn't changed in since my first drink here 10 years ago. I'd love to see them put some effort into the ambiance but then again that would probably attract more college kids. Sitting in a basement without windows particularly when the weather is nice is such a trade off. I was really happy to see they allow outdoor seating for the time being.
