Everyone was very nice except this lady named Margaret, whom must be new because I come here often and have never seen her. When I asked to speak with a manager to compliment the wonderful service, she scoffed and mumbled under her breath about how I smelled. I had just been volunteering at a homeless shelter and she made it very apparent that I was unwelcome despite being a frequent customer. She also asked when the baby is due… I’m a 50 year old male. I will not be returning.

Another coffee shop that charges for adding water to your coffee. At my last visit, I was told by the barista that a small, medium and large coffee has the same amount of shoots. All she does is to add more water. After asking again to confirm with her, she assured me me that it is the way they are trained. So a medium coffee in Collectivo is the same as a large coffee. Just has more water. Maybe this particular untrained “Waterista” or it is the corporate policy. Very disappointed if that is the case. Collective at State St. in Madison, get it together. I pay for a large coffee because I want a large coffee with more shoots than a small one. I do not want a diluted coffee.

Waiting for my coffee for 30 minutes. If it is raining or cold outside it is the best place to kill time. If you want coffee, go somewhere else.

I'm still patiently (impatiently) waiting for the day that Colectivo opens a shop in Minneapolis. I love their coffee! I wish they were closer. They also have tons of delicious food options. You really can't go wrong at this spot. I got an iced latte when I visited this time, as I wasn't feeling like having anything too fancy. But their fall drinks this year?? They look awesome. Check 'em out!
