Came here after reading some reviews. Breakfast was spectacular. I got country fried steak. Eggs and hashbrowns were cooked exactly as ordered. Prices are reasonable. Service was excellent. Lorraine was amazing. Definitely worth it. No complaints and one of better breakfasts I’ve had in Madison.

I gave it a one star because of the service they gave Me a used cup with a open sugar package in ithen after They brought me my food. They brought me a used Sour cream cup nasty rite at this point I'm pissed The guy that bought me the cup of water apologized in the waitress did too but that's ridiculous. I should have walked out on it.It was 4 of us as will they get 7474 for me today. But they won't get another red penny But the food was delicious. But After giving me a used cream cups and a dirty cup of water with a suger package Everything should have been free.

Food and waitress were very good. Host/Hostess seemed a bit grumpy.

Excellent breakfast food. Not too greasy and it comes out fast. It looks almost exactly the same from when I was a kid.

Dairyland is like a non-franchised version of Cracker Barrel, without the kitsch. The menu was right at the epicenter of "American cuisine". The portions were enormous and uniformly very tasty. The service was warm, competent and just the right amount of attention without being over our shoulders. The soups were particularly good. Everything certainly seemed to have been prepared fresh. Our only regret was that we were too full to sample the very tempting desert menu. Nothing like a slice of carrot cake to top off a meal right from the heartland.

I went here with my family (4 of us). The cups and silverware were foggy to the point where I did not trust drinking from it or using the silverware. My grilled cheese sandwich was good, but my other family complained of its quality. The restaurant itself looked cute, but the tables seemed like they could use an update and they were not stocked with napkins. The service was also decent however she did not ask if we wanted anything else to drink besides the waters they gave us. Overall this was a one and done experience.

I grew up on the Eastside and am no stranger to great food from family restaurants! If you grew up on Bev's food, you know what I mean! Dairyland is an Eastside treasure! My parents spend most of the breakfasts out, here. Bosco, and his father before him created a place where everyone was known and everyone was welcome. Although their model follows that of the traditional affordable family restaurant that became popular in the early 70's, they are anything but typical. They've lasted (even through covid) because they are Family first. But they thrive because their food is fantastic! I ordered poached eggs and they were perfect. In most restaurants you're lucky if they aren't hockey pucks, but here they are sublime. Everything is made from scratch, fresh, and if you don't need a to go box then you are better eater than I, and that's saying a lot! So, the next time you are in the Eastside and looking for a nice restaurant, skip the chains, skip the new shinnies, and come to Dairyland. You'll thank me.
