Most fun I've had at a restaurant in Madison....and that's sayin something! Live music, good food, on point service and beer in a huge glass boot. Watch the boot, it burps and is expensive if you break it (I know first hand). Definitely going back and bringing a bigger crew with me

A German beer hall. Loud atmosphere, good food, and great beer. It is noisy before the band even starts on the nights it is there. Food is authentic and the selection of German beers is good. Try the German black beer.Schnitzel was very much on the thin side but the rest of the food was spot on.

Very good German food. The pretzel is better elsewhere. The only thing I'd recommend here in the Entrees. The German thing wrapped in pork is good.I'd pass on the soup though. I think this place is well worth the visit.

Been coming here since the 80's this night was far the worst experience. Place was under staffed Manger was even bussing tables. Server didn't seem to care. Food was good but over priced for portion size. Seen server only twice, when he took my order and gave me my bill. Not sure if I'll be back.

Visited last weekend and love the German atmosphere, decor, beers, and food. We were in a standing area which was a great place to be by the bar as well as to watch the band. Unfortunately the band was not very good and hardly anyone ever got up to dance. We left after a few beers since the band was not good. At least they have a nice parking lot!

Don't normally give reviews but felt it was nessessary. Been coming here since the 80's, this was the first time being disappointed. Food was great as usual, wait staff on the other hand, not so much. Was looking forward to the liver dumpling soup just to find out they didn't or no longer have it.

I highly recommend the fish fry Fridays. Our family loves the ambience, the polka music and food is delicious. Parking is free (but it is usually full). You can make reservations but they also accept walk-ins. After 8pm it is very busy on Fridays. We usually go earlier to enjoy dinner without the live music. Even though a lot of big groups enjoy the fun in this restaurant, we love to bring our children and enjoy polka music with them as well. The restaurant is very good for family, friends, companies or students gathering.

Lived in Germany for nearly 6 years. So this place kind of feels like home some of the time.
