I had a group of 10 coming into town for a Badger game weekend. We got reservations for later evening drinks at Garver Lounge and booked tickets at Gleam to make it an evening. Less than 10 days before the event they contacted me to cancel my reservation, with their suggested alternative being all the way across town. I'm now stuck with a large group on foot and no place to go after Gleam and no time to book a replacement. Very disappointing.

Hands down best brunch place in Madison if you want something beyond a greasy spoon and that's not grossly overpriced. Dishes don't look big but then flavor, quality and how well it satiates you (because its not just drowned in fat and oil) jump out. Its the kind of place I don't want anyone to know about but we need to keep places like this alive and vibrant. You're not going to find a better space/ambience with a relaxed, cafe style approach (you order from the bar, can bring Coffee from Ledgers, no server checking in/bothering you).

I visited the lounge yesterday for the very first time I had the goat cheese sandwich it was disappointing could not taste the goat cheese too much of the pea shoots and the potato tots they were fried for too long the sandwich wasn't even enough to fill me up.

Went to my nephew's wedding reception there. Really great private party space!

This facility is beautiful and feels amazing to be in it. The organizer for the event that I attended today, Sherie, was incredibly professional. The space that she had set aside for us to use at the expo that we attended was beyond gorgeous and perfectly decorated to suit our needs. I would definitely use this venue in the future.

Met here for drinks with friends. I had been to Garver before but not to the lounge specifically. I tried two different drinks, their take on a Negroni and the Lions Tail? Mane? I'm not sure which. Both drinks were excellent and the server was kind enough to give me a cherry even though my drink didn't come with one service was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. I've said it before and I'll say it again. I'll be back!

Had brunch there yesterday and the portions were very small and poorly prepared. Good Bloody Mary, tho. The space is beautiful, the kitchen needs to work on its game.

I curious if perhaps the regular chef was out today? I got the pulled pork and grits, and both were pretty much sans any kind of flavoring or even much salt. Just plain pork, and plain grits, with some cheese on top of the grits. It was very odd. My friend's breakfast sandwich was ok, and the walnut cake we shared was good. It's just been a long time since I was served something that had no seasoning in a restaurant...

Jesus Christ this place is amazing. Their food is way better than places that'd I've paid double for. It's RIGHT on the bike path too. It's a perfect bike ride pit stop. Beer selection is definitely curated and cocktails are on point. Staff were so great.

Went for brunch and had the potato pancakes and a breakfast sandwich. The potato pancakes were delicious and savory, and paired well with the sides of apple sauce and sour cream. The breakfast sandwich was small but incredibly flavorful, it had some very thick bacon and some kind of tasty cream sauce on it. Overall awesome food and really good mixed drinks! Very surprising that this place is not more packed on the weekends.
