super cute pizza restaurant in a literal home! it's a small cozy place with a unique menu. the server was soo with me tonight, she recommended the pork confit AND the goomba with bacon (unfortunately no ranch dipping but she also got me there). i loved that the pizza was thin crust but i do wish there was a dipping sauce bc the crust was a bit dry. the bacon was center cut and thick so it was heavy but tasty on the pizza. the app, pork confit, was sooo tender and juicy, very happy we went with this choice! we got a bottle of moscato to pair and that was also delicious. overall recommend this restaurant but would make a reservation bc it's a really small place

Definitely has character. Small but a fair amount of seating. Tried several food items, appetizers, pizza, dessert. Everything tasted great.Vegetarian options: There were a few good veggie options. Not a wide variety.Parking: Pretty busy area. May have to park a couple blocks away.Kid-friendliness: It's pretty cramped and loud. Not the best for kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wide enough inside to maneuver a wheelchair.

I really really wanted to give this place a better score. The ambiance and service were just fantastic. The pizza was just so-so. It wasn't even worth taking the leftovers. It was a combination of flavor imbalance as the bold flavors kicked the weak crust's ass. The prices were inflated for the value. Not bad, but not worth returning.

Wow-the roasted veggies with aioli sauce was outstanding. A simple but elegant thin crust pizza with a Sangiovese was beyond my expectations. A little confusion on what table got whose bill/tab was the only negative. You gotta visit Gibb's bar next door! They've got MALORT! So-NO Chicago Handshake tonight!

This has been my third time to Grampas and my wife's fourth time. My earlier experiences were great so I thought it would be perfect to go on my birthday (Mistake). It was odd that the last time my wife went she came home and said the staff were very rude and she didn't want to go back. I thought it might've been a busy night and we could give them another chance (wrong). We went towards the end of the night so it wasn't very busy. And I've never felt more ignored at a restaurant in my whole life, and we were seated at the bar?!? It took a while to get food, it's ok, it was the end of the dinner rush. But once we finished it took 15 minutes to get a box, but they didn't bring the check. I asked fifteen minutes later for the check. He brought the check. Then I put my card in the holder and pushed our dinnerware to the back to signify we were ready to leave. It took 30 minutes for them to check on us again and run my card. For the thirty minutes we watched two servers go back and forth texting on their phones and drinking wine over and over right in front of us. Take my advice, the food is amazing, but it's not worth it to spend 100 on pizza and terrible service. Try something else like Mickeys Tavern or anything on the square. I will not be returning to Grampas, but if they're interested in more information about the terrible service I'd be happy to discuss it further!

Went for dinner last night. It was a Monday evening and crowded was thin. Nevertheless I called ahead to book a table and was seated by the window. Small cute place. My dining mate had an amber ale and I had the sweet red wine to kick off our dinner. The wine was good. It tasted more like sprite mixed with red wine - sweet and sparkling. We ordered the pork confit for appetizer. Served in a small iron skillet, the pork was very in tender and delicious. It is not unlike pulled pork except you do the pulling apart. Served with slices of bread, brown mustard sauce and pickles peppers. Watch out for the peppers. They are spicy! We also shared a beet salad which was also wonderful. It is probably one of the better beet salad I've had. A mixed of red and orange beets with some greens. Lovely to look at and tasty. For the main dish we shared a Jabroni pizza with Italian sausage. I love the thin crust since I'm on a low carb diet. The cut up basil leaves were fresh and not baked or burnt. The chili flakes weren't distributed evenly so some parts were spicy and some weren't. It was delicious still. I would love this more if the pesto wasn't baked because it appears more brown/black instead of fresh green.I would still recommend this place for dinner.

Why haven’t we stopped here sooner?! It’s been on our list to try for years and we finally had dinner a few nights ago and it was perfect. The bartender recommended the mozzarella appetizer and that might have been my favorite part of the meal (not because the pizza wasn’t good, but because that dish was GREAT). We decided we need to go back and try all their specialty pies!

It’s alright. I can see why people might like it. Just not worth the price for me.
