Super frustrating. Left a visit at the hospital after a long day. Drove around looking for parking spot at Greenbush. Finally parked and arrived inside at 7:47, we had hope that we could sit and eat, but were prepared to get a pizza to go since they close at 8:00. "Nope, sorry. Kitchen closes at 8:00". But it's 7:47?."Sorry it's all closed down, that's the way it is." Not cool.

This place is crazy. If you didn't know it was there you would never find it. They are only open 4-8, so you must plan ahead. They have the best thin crust bar style pie. You enter this building and go downstairs, even though there is no signage. It is like going into a speak-easy. Would highly recommend, bring your friends, they will be impressed.

Tried greenbush bar for the first time on a Friday evening. I had heard so much about their pizza and finally had the chance to try it. Ended up ordering a pie to go (half pepperoni, half sausage). I waited for around 40 minutes at the restaurant for the pie (which was longer than expected, so just keep that in mind if you're looking for a quick pie to go). The actual pizza itself was delicious. The pie's crust was very thin and had almost a crisp cracker like chew and snap to it. I have eaten a lot of pizza in my day and have never had this type of crust before (was great!). The crust is dusted with a generous layer of corn meal underneath it and the overall pizza was good. My one recommendation is to increase the amount of sausage toppings because the sausage itself didn't have a very strong flavor (couldn't really taste the sausage on the half pie we ordered). The pepperoni was delicious and cheese was good. Overall, would recommend this spot to anyone craving some delicious pizza!

This is a MUST while in Madison, great local pizza place & bar. Huge selection of bourbon, many ? that are hard to find at a decent prize point. Thin pizza is delicious and you must try their daily desserts! Ms. Gretchen definitely has a gem here! WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

Though the pizza is great for something in the midwest, it is absolutely NOT worth the wait or the headache, random non-takeout nights, reservation headache you will endure. It's like they are the ones who think they are doing YOU a favor. Eh, food quality to "exclusiveness" ratio in getting into this place or being able to get a pizza is atrocious.

Apparently they pick and choose nights that they will do takeout. I understand not taking phone orders but if I go inside you really won't just let me take a pizza to go? This place doesn't have good enough food to have that bad of service. 0/5

Doughnuts are amazing.
My family showed up on Friday night after getting some pizza. The workers there, a husband wife combo, were amazing. Not only were the doughnuts amazing, the workers laughed and joked with my 4 year old son. Showing him all the doughnuts they had in stock. They even gave us 2 free doughnuts to take home for tomorrow.
I will be buying all doughnuts from here from now on.

Greenbush Bar is great for a true thin crust pizza and a great eclectic atmosphere, though not in the way you might assume. Think speakeasy with Christmas lights. The very nature of it is not rushed, so go when you're happy to get an app and a drink. It's worth the wait. We really enjoy the lemon pasta and pizza, and they are both examples where you can really tell the big difference that fresh food makes.
