Amazing staff, great food, interesting menu, creative desserts, Mocktails and alcohol free beer. These people care about food, eating and health! Think only on the coasts can you find Mocktails, no way - They have them on their menu! Even turned down the music for me when requested so I could hear, have hearing disability. Austin is amazing, and so are the waitstaff. Very welcoming. It was so much Fun!

i went there alone to try something good and to treat my self during covid. i was early for my table but was seated right away the manager and server were attentive i ordered the charcuterie board i had seen photos in a magazine it looked yummy and just the right thing i was a little disappointed when it came to my table the wooden board was mostly filled with toast and crackers a smear of jam and three wedges of cheese the 4 slices of some type of priscutto were tiny for "shareing" and the only other protein was two chunks of pork pate' if this was the full board it was not suitable for more than 2 people some pickled veggies rounded out the plate. i was told by both staff that i needed to come to the weekend brunch as it was the best in town. i changed my plans and came back with a friend they were not as busy as i would have expected for a saturday morning. we were told to try the ham cinnamon roll it can swimming in frosting and the meat was dry like jerky, it was not very good we ordered the two top items and decided to split them, the ham omelette was missing the cheese and agian the overcooke meat the lobster scramble was undercooked on both the eggs and the lobster the lobter onlt had a few small bits in it i noticed other eaters were ordering the breakfast sandwiches and not the 'top selling " items then came the bloody mary's we asked if they were spicey and we were assured they were mild the first sip told me differant we aske for some extra tomato juice to add to them and we were told they had none even after the server told us otherwise the were left mostly untouched we were no offered a replacement nor were they taken off the bill we both agreed that the best part was the greens and the crossiant we paid our bill and left. we noticed that the bagel shop was doing a brisk breakfast rush and when we asked we were told they were the best we wished we had eaten there

What a treat in this COVID quarantine! Had a "take out" treat the other night from Heritage Tavern that is as memorable, if not more, as my many wonderful culinary experiences around the world. New to this region, I am delighted that Heritage is here in Madison. Our family looks forward to our next "occasion " to enjoy the pleasant and talented staff at the Heritage Tavern!

Eating outside due to COVID in the old US BANK drive thru... they did a great job making the best of it. Food was amazing, both did the chef tasting menu and everything was amazing! Could not go wrong with any of the choices!

We love Heritage Tavern and will continue to support this wonderful place through these uncertain times. Last night, we enjoyed the Heritage Family BBQ meal with our daughter and friend - delicious pulled pork, sausages, ribs, corn bread and all the fixins. The carry out process was seamless, and as usual, the service was superb. Thank you to Dan and staff for another terrific meal!

This is a great restaurant where the staff are very welcoming. You can't help but feel good the way they greet you and escort you to your table. Interesting interior and warmth in an old building. A mix of small plates and large plates but really it's just appetizers and entrees. Food is delicious, creative and flavorful. That said, on this occasion it was very slow even though we arrive for dinner on the early side. From start to finish we were in the restaurant for nearly 2.5 hours - about an hour longer than optimal for us. I don't like feeling rushed either but the slow, delayed service was a negative. The desserts are overpriced for what they are. Prices in general are on the high side.

I love this spot for brunch on Sunday. Always a space for two, although sometimes sitting at bar. Coffee is so good. I ordered veggie eggs benedict with potatoes. Potatoes very garlicky so from now on it's greens. Eggs perfectly poached. Veggies seasoned nicely. J ordered lobster omelette and was very happy. Service always pleasant. Food always great. Bring some friends and try the donuts.

We dined at Heritage Tavern for my son's birthday party. We were a party of 7, one of which is gluten free. Reservations were easy and efficient - restaurant even re-confirmed with me several days prior to our reservation. The menu was great, although I had my heart set on the CHAR SIU HERITAGE PORK SHOULDER & TUNA, but found out it takes 50 minutes to cook and since we had hockey tickets, I had to change my order. Had I know, I would have ordered ahead perhaps? Anyways, we all enjoyed our meals that were presented in very artistic ways. We are not big deviled eggs fans, but ordered the half dozen just to try since they are a specialty of the house. We all agree - we should have ordered more! The deserts were beautiful and amazing also. Lastly, the drinks and service were top notch. I will definitely return to Heritage tavern for our next fancy meal in Madison.

Stopped in here for brunch while traveling through Madison on our way up to the Dells. We chose the Heritage Inn because they have the most interesting and creative menu that we could find. I decided on the lobster scramble after a long decision. It comes with a croissant which really tipped the scale in its favor. I love a good croissant! The scramble was good. The eggs were nice and soft and delicate. I would have expected it to be rich and heavy but it really wasn't. My only complaint is that there really wasn't much lobster in it. I didn't count but I think I only encountered three. Staff was terrific! Everyone was really friendly and helpful. When we were escorted to a table near the back and asked for something closer to a window (it was already a dark gloomy day), they didn't bat an eye and offered a really nice table for two by the window in the bar area

I stopped in for a snack - six hard-boiled eggs and a cocktail. The cocktail was excellent - the 131 Bourbon Street was delicious. The eggs were splendid - the soy sauce ones were really interesting.

We had a terrific dinner as well as great service. Strongly recommend. Guys split the tomahawk ribeye (fantastic) and women split the halibut. Sweet corn poblano soup was to die for. Yum!!

Our first visit and it was a great one. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Packed restaurant on a Friday night. Menu is short Bri our party tried nearly every main course and each was beautifully presented and delicious to eat. Great cocktail, beer and wine menu too. Make reservations in advance and enjoy this great place to dine in Madison.

Definitely loved our dinner at Heritage Tavern. Jordan, our server, was top notch and made excellent recommendations for us. The pork roast was heavenly. The wine choices were great. Everything was fantastic.

We eat here at least 2 times per month. Great plates to share. The schnitzel is amazing. Craft cocktails and beer selection is well thought out. Servers are among the best in Madison.

Outstanding service, from the host to our server to the bartender (who whipped up a great cocktail based on flavor profiles we gave her). Excellent food with really creative dishes. The crisp pork belly was amazing and the deviled eggs were some of the most interesting (in the good way) I've ever seen or tasted. I only wish the portions were a bit bigger especially for a small plates/shareable concept -- some dishes were oddly small and others were awkward to split between four people.
