I tried the Hot & Crispy Chicken. Those crispy bits are fantastic. I thought eating the crispy lil bits from Popeyes chicken was something, be sure to try this! Lots and Lots of hot red peppers in the mix but its only a little spicy if your not chewing on the peppers. ?️

Ordered Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, and Shanghai Spring Rolls from the American-Chinese menu. It was terrible. The orange chicken tasted like someone melted orange soda or orange candy on breaded chicken. There was no other flavor beyond a super sugary orange candy type flavor to the sauce. Trader joes frozen bag of orange chicken is way better. The sesame chicken was just sweet and sour chicken with 5 sesame seeds on top. I kid you not. There was a total of 5 sesame seeds on top of an order of sweet and sour chicken. Sesame Chicken usually is a garlic type of sauce, brown, and not bright yellowish orange. I dont know why they only put 5 sesame seeds on top of it. The rice was dry and a chore to eat. Most of the meal went to waste because the flavor was terrible. Oh, and about half the pieces of chicken were so dry. It was like freezer burned or something. Some of the chicken reminded me of bad, dried out jerky. The Shanginese spring rolls are just tiny egg rolls. They are filled with a little tiny bit of a typical vegetable mix and some type of filler that is a tasteless breading. This type of little egg roll with the breading filler is common in lower quality Chinese restaurants. Good restaurants just use vegetable mix. But, in the US, at least, spring rolls are often something very different from mini egg rolls. I was expecting mini egg rolls. But I had hoped they would be better than the cheap little toaster egg rolls that I can buy from the freezer section at any grocery store.I don't know where to go for a good American-Chinese experience in Madison. But, now I do know where not to go.

Enjoyed lunch with my wife and infant on a Thursday. The restaurant only had a few occupied tables so we had fast service. The staff was welcoming and friendly and helped with suggestions since there are so many options. The menu has a large section for more authentic Chinese food, as well as, a section for more Americanized dishes. We had a nice and relaxed dine-in experience. We’d happily come back in to enjoy more quality Chinese dishes compared to lower quality takeout Chinese restaurants.Parking: You can sometimes find parking on Park street, but may need to park around the block in a neighborhood, but it’s a short walk.

I've gotten takeout from here many times. Their Sichuan food is excellent. The boiled beef and three pepper chicken are my favorite items, but everything I have tried has been good. Never eaten inside, so I can't comment on service, but the staff has always been friendly when I am picking up my order.

We ate lunch and ordered sauted eggplants, green beans, fish and lamb. All the items tasted amazing. I like tasting asian recipes and loved the items there. The food there was very much Asian, not blended with American or other cuisines. It was a restaurant I would go again to taste the other items.

There are a couple of Chinese restaurants I frequent in Madison, and I think this one is consistently good. I recommend the spicy green beans, Japanese tofu, and any of the eggplant dishes.

Had food delivered. Ichiban food is wonderful. However Eat Street driver should be fired. I live 5 minutes from restaurant took her 25 minutes to arrive. Fried food cold. Driver arrived talking on phone, talked on the phone walking up to my house, left driving while talking on phone. She did not even bother to take an extra step to knock on my door. Love Ichiban, done with Eat Street!

I ordered chicken mai fun and it was excellent. It was obvious the ingredients were freshly made and I got a lot of food for the price. I ordered through their website which is a bit difficult to do (I couldn’t figure out how to delete something I added to my cart) but that may have also been my problem. But my order was ready when I scheduled it and pickup was easy. Definitely will be back!

Very nice people here, bit of a language barrier but they get our order correct and are very friendly. We haven't sampled the majority of foods, but the ones we get are always good. They have some of the best tofu (lightly fried/cooked triangles - tastes like chicken with the consistency of fried egg) with vegetables over rice. My daughter gets this consistently and always raves over how good it is. My husband gets seafood with squid, shrimp, etc., and has never had a bad dish. Everyone in the house is happy when we order takeout from here.Vegetarian options: They will work with you to get you "GF-sensitive" meal. My daughter has gluten intolerance; she's eaten here probably 20+ times for tofu and veg and so far, no reaction, so we feel pretty safe. Note: She is old enough to realize if she is going to have a reaction and can gauge; if your child is very young, you may want to use caution as there could be cross-contamination.

Little chilly on a cold rainy day. Had to leave our coats on. Waitress was great as well as the food.
