We started using Isthmus Eats in early 2021 when one of us was quarantined and haven't stopped using it since. The meal options are great and as others have said, it's no problem to skip a week or change the number of meals you receive each week. We had tried Hello Fresh in the past but didn't stick with it. Being that it's local, Isthmus Eats is better for sustainability and support for vendors and suppliers in this area. We are really glad we signed up and will keep talking highly of Isthmus Eats to friends and family.

Tonight we made the Door County Cherry Pork Chops with Roasted Brussels Sprouts, and we were so impressed! The cherry wine sauce with the pork was surprising and amazing, the fresh rosemary added a level of complexity, and overall, the dish came together really well! One of the things we like about Isthmus Eats is that the recipes are straightforward, but if you like to cook it’s easy to think about how to kick it up a notch or two!
I loved past meal services since they took the mental load of planning/shopping away from my week, but I hated all of the packaging. Isthmus eats has so many vegetarian options, local products, and reusable packaging I feel so much better about the impact I'm having.

I tried this meal kit company 2 years ago because I was finding myself wasting food by buying fresh veg at the grocery store and then not using it, among other reasons. I wanted decent quality and on the healthy side. The fact that they are local and work with local farmers and businesses put them as my first choice.They've been very good! You get 6 choices each week, and there are always vegetarian options, plus most choices can be altered with different or added proteins and carbs. I've tried a lot of new spices and dishes, some that I loved and some not for me. But trying them is how you learn. I saved recipes I loved, often for dressing or sauces, unexpectedly.You can be a beginner, but some knife work and cooking knowledge does help. They are starting to add a heat and eat option now, for days you just don't have time or desire to cook. Overall, I love Isthmus Eats. They really saved me when I first started, and I stuck around because they've been so useful!The cookie dough in their Market is delish! Try it!

This is overall a great service and very convenient! It's nice getting fresh local ingredients delivered to you every week. I also appreciate that the food comes in reusable tote bags instead of cardboard boxes with a bunch of stuff you need to throw away (like with other meal kit delivery services out there). There are also "heat and eat" options each week which is great if you're lazy like me some nights ?. The customer service is also top notch! Great that it's a local company.

Huge props to isthmus eats. Prices are competitive, customer service is incredible, and local food (even some packaged foods like tofu come from Milwaukee) is fresh. Meals are a great mix of meat and vegetarian, plenty of choices. Really nice recipe cards and getting it delivered to my front door (they also take our previous weeks packaging and reuse/recycle) puts isthmus eats on top!! Happy subscribers for 3 years.

Really happy to have a local meal kit provider that utilized local food sources. Love that meals can be adapted for protein and sometimes carb load. Plenty of food for our family of 5. We love the meals. Kids are ok with most meals (they are picky). Wish there could be more options weekly but understand the limitations of supporting local!
