We had a great time at Karben 4 today. Tasting great beers and Greg was a awesome bartender. He was very formative about all the beers. Greg, next time you get to the Fox Cities we hope you have a chance to visit the Timber Tap.Cheers!

There is no question that this brewery is different, like their beer. Right when you walk up you'll know that this place is weird with a unique vibe. It has more of a warehouse/industrial atmosphere. A good space and bartender was friendly. The beers were good and they have a good tap list. They had a lot of unique interpretations on styles of beer. It's not a commercial mass appeal brewery but really feels like a place run by people who really love beer. We wish we had more time to sample more of their beers.

We have enjoyed ourselves here a number of times. The beverages can't be beat and the staff are fantastic and friendly. One of our favourites is to reserve one of the igloos for the family or a few friends.

If you love their beer, this is your spot. I don't love their beer...so this wasn't my favorite place. It was also my third brewery stop of the day and the people at Karben4 were less friendly, less welcoming and had less food options. I'm sure the outdoor beer garden would be more my speed, but it was cold. There were a lot of Wisconsin Badgers fans at the bar when we arrived, so I assumed it was a fun place for people to watch the game. I'll go back, but only because my friends love it.

As the last place didn't work out, I searched and found Karben4 which absolutely did work out. A mostly quiet space in the corner where there was a power outlet (electricity is always on my mind!). I set up the computer, plugged in the phone and then checked the beer menu.After ordering one of their "Midwesty" pilsners and taking a sip, I asked and was told that yes, it's perfectly okay to order delivery or bring in outside food as they don't have a food truck tonight. Yay!I did order (a Chinese place that I will review next) and during my three hours here at Karben, enjoyed two more of those great pilsners while writing up eight reviews from earlier on this trip in Pittsburgh.Great space, peaceful chill vibe, excellent beer.
