Perfect place for a good meal. Went with family, and everybody loved it. Pricing is reasonable, especially for the wonderful quality you receive. They have a bar, and booths and tables.

I've been here twice and was not impressed either time. During my first visit, a customer was watching a video on his phone on full volume the entire time, ruining the atmosphere. The second time I visited, we stood at the front desk for ten minutes and were never greeted. We walked into the bar area too and no workers were present. That was very annoying. Other annoyances include the lack of prices on the beer menu, and the fact that the fries cost $4 and you literally only get 4 fries. See the attached picture. It is a terrible atmosphere and overpriced.

Great Venezuelan food with a lot of options. Start with the house specials or arepas. Big portions. They also have good vegetarian options. The service is always good. They have a great patio with an awesome view of the sunset over the downtown skyline. Great for happy hour.Vegetarian options: Most of the dishes with protein options can be ordered vegetarian. The flavor of the veggie option is really good.
Good service, but they press hard to order the food and and pay. The cachapas are not good, not recommended, the dough smells strange (basically not cachapa).

Came during Happy Hour. The drinks were a nice size for $5. The food was pretty delicious. First time trying Venezuelan food. I had an Arepa with Yucca fries. Very filling! Service was adequate.

Always have great experiences’ but this Sunday March 17/2024 there was a waitress who take “care” of us and to be honest, was the worst experience ever’ her attitude her way to talk to us’ everything was disappointed’ if you do not have the right attitude to work with others ‘ you are in the wrong job ‘ this is for the waitress by name Gabriela H i’m sorry that i have to write this review’ but NOT SORRY! I stumbled upon La Taguara Bar & Grill and was so pleasantly surprised! This Venezuelan restaurant offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. The menu has a fantastic variety of authentic dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. I especially recommend the Brazilian steak – it was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor.The restaurant itself was clean and inviting. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. It's a fantastic spot for a casual meal with friends or a unique date night experience. If you're looking to venture beyond the usual culinary options in Madison, La Taguara is definitely worth trying!

First time at this location and now the food that it was already great feels even greater since the place it is gorgeously put together! I can’t recommend this place enough , every plate , meat or vegetarian, soup , arepas , empanadas etc everything it is just gourmet delicious food ! Go try this place close to Sun Prairie, the bar also looks great ! Forgot to mention , the prices are very decent too ! Another reason to eat more often and one of the best Latin food restaurants in the Madison WI area !
