Amazing experience! Love this restaurant, food is tasty and good portions, service is great, everyone really looking to make this a wonderful experience. They are very cautious about food allergies, and have many GF options, including bread.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free options, and the servers are very knowledgeable to provide additional information about what dishes are ok and which ones could be modified.

Had a very enjoyable dinner here recently with my spouse as they go out of their way to make you feel appreciated. Everything is tastefully done, and you can tell they care about the small details. We chose the chef’s counter seats which not only provided a great view of all the action but also yielded some great conversations with their staff. Food was excellent overall, and yes, the leeks were amazing.

Had an amazing dinner at Lallande. The best meal I've had in ages! Fantastic flavors - the bistro steak was cooked perfectly, the gnocchi and charred carrots were delicious. Such an amazing culinary experience! The staff was incredibly kind and accommodating with our toddler. We got to speak French with our waitress Ines too ? I love the tranquille atmosphere and vibe - we had the best time enjoying our food and were treated like royalty. We will absolutely come back! I cannot wait to taste the menu when it rotates in the Spring and Summer!

Lallande was absolutely fantastic. The service can only be described as delightful! Thank you to Nina who described things on a way that made our mouths water. We were treated so well by everyone, and we weren’t even celebrating anything! We had a fantastic onion tarte which was big enough to take most home. I had a cup of soup with leek and apples which was like nothing I’ve had before. The caramel brownie with coffee ice cream was to die for. It was so fun and I hope we can go back as soon as possible!

THEY HAVE A VEGAN MENU, despite the first glance. Call and ask if you are unsure, but they come through every time! Simple and fresh ingredients wielded by a master flavor maker. This chef understands the power of a vegetable and how to tease out its highlights through texture, temperature, or seasonings. Delicate find in a meat and cheese covered city. Our last visit, we ordered lentil butternut soup, leeks, carrots, and a vegan Coq au vin. Sounds basic, but it wasn't! No weird gastronómica, but a Frechified step up for Wisconsin. Ps. Don't worry meat-eaters, they DO have meat.

Spent a pretty nice evening at Lallande. Parked down the street after meter hours which stop at 6PM. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, but the open kitchen concept, fireplace and use of glass/windows make you feel it's bigger than it is. Definitely a comfortable, lively vibe. The service was very attentive, top notch. The menu IS rather limited, but there is usually something available for every taste. Each in our party of 4 ordered a different dish. I had the gnocchi which I must admit was disappointing. I knew that they made their gnocchi with all flour instead of potato (like Italian gnocchi) but the flavor, texture and amount of food in the dish wasn't what I had expected, even with my knowledge of the ingredients being as they were. My date had a fancy chicken pot pie, but was let down by the light amount of chicken in the mostly mushroom dish. We had salads, split desserts and a few wines by the glass. The price for this meal was also much higher (well over $100 per person) than I expected and am used to spending in Wisconsin, and for what I felt the meal was worth. Now I don't mind spending over $200 for a meal that is delicious. I've had awesome food experiences at Harvey House, Fairchild, Nook, Tornado, etc.,. My issue isn't affordability, but is "value for money". Delicious food can command higher prices. Plain and simple. Since I'm a big fan of the Bloom Bakery next door and personally find the owners of Lallande to be extremely nice, hardworking people, I'm giving Lallande 4 stars now with the hope it continues to improve. It has tremendous potential.

Sit at the bar and watch the chefs' magic. Inviting space evokes a relaxed French bistro. Lots of friendly faces from Bloom. The team is warm and genuine. Food is simple classics prepared with excellent ingredients. An absolute hit, can't wait to return!

Sat at the bar. I don't have much experience with fine dining or French cuisine, so I was pleasantly taken on a journey by their lovely staff. Just said: I'll take your recommendations, and they proceeded to lay out the most delicious drinks, appetizers, main gnocchi, salads, dessert, post food drinks. Wow. Can't on this app because it's out of 5, but I would give 10/10 if I could. Like. Soooo good. Great ambience. So French. Great bartender

I don't write restaurant reviews very often, but we loved our time at Lallande and I wanted to share! We sat at the Chef's Counter, which hubby and I like to do if it's available. We love seeing behind-the-scenes and being able to interact with the staff. We've sat in other places where the staff feel a little hurried when talking to us, but not at Lallande. Annemarie, owner and head chef, was so great in explaining the dishes, how we could alter them according to our food allergies, and checking in on us, never making us feel like we were bothering her. We even heard her telling customers the story of where Lallande came from, and her French history. Her daughter was also working that night and was really great to talk to.I haven't even talked about the food yet! Everything was lovely. We started with foie gras and a cheese option. Then we got the leeks as a nice bite before the main dish. My husband had the steak, and I had a veggie and potato dish. To top if off, since it was my birthday, they brought out a piece of gluten free cake with a candle. Our experience was so beautiful and I'd recommend Lallande to anyone looking for a homey-yet-elevated meal.Dietary restrictions: Annemarie said she works hard to make things accommodating to various allergies. She explained which dishes you could remove certain ingredients and still have it taste good, and which she wouldn't recommend altering.

Incredible food and exceptional service. It was our first time there and we got several surprise gifts from the kitchen, all of which were delicious. The owner greeted everyone personally and it was clear the staff really cared about the food and giving everyone a relaxing and welcoming experience. We will definitely be back (next time with room for dessert)!

Small and intimate dining room that opens into the kitchen. Delicious drinks and food. The menu is small, enabling the chefs to focus on making each dish exceptional. Attentive and professional service! We will be back!! We live with walking distance, but parking can be an issue on Monroe Street as it is a popular area.Parking: Parking can be difficult in this area, particularly on weekends. Paid parking on Monroe Street, side streets have free parking.Kid-friendliness: Not the atmosphere for children
