I have always loved going to Ledger. They make very good espresso and coffee. This morning I went in, and my mug was accidentally broken in the process of my drink being made, and they were so sweet to give me a replacement mug while I was there. The staff always goes above and beyond and I really appreciate it! They also sell Level 5 donuts which are sooo delicious and vegan!

This place is a hidden gem! They roast their beans locally & consistently make the best coffee I've had in Madison. Highly recommend trying one of their coffee drinks and/or buying a bag of one of their beans (they'll grind them according to how you like to brew, ie, for French press or pour over or drip). Even their decaf (Rally Cry) is amazing - rich & flavorful! I can also recommend their matcha lattes which are consistently very good -- smooth and luscious. My current fave is their cardamom latte which is delightful. Friendly staff too!

This coffee place was good, I got a cold brew coffee with vanilla and caramel. Unfortunately they did not have any sugar free syrups or unsweetened milks. This place was in a nice lounge area and they had a good outdoor area. They also had donuts earlier in the day but sold out early.
I absolutely love the coffee beans from Ledger, and I'd highly recommend buying a bag if you brew at home. I use them for espresso but they'd probably give you a great drip coffee or pour over as well! Even their decaf (Rally Cry) is really good. Note that single origin bags are quite expensive here, and they're 10oz bags, but I thought it was well worth it.As a coffee shop Ledger isn't that special - they can take a while since they don't have many baristas, and they don't have much seating. But they're a great local roaster and you should check them out for that reason alone.If you go early you can get Level 5 donuts which I do really recommend.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegan options as well

Ledger has incredible coffee. I had a half caf iced americano and it was delicious. They roast their beans in house. They had friendly baristas and a really great outdoor patio. I've been here 3 different times in my 2-days in Madison. They also have vegan donuts on the weekends-- but go early or they'll sell out. Highly recommend.

Ledger has the best latte on the east side of Madison. My spouse and I have been regulars since it opened. Everything is top notch and the staff are incredible people. Any time I have a visitor in town, this is our first stop!Kid-friendliness: I bring my family here almost every week! The staff are super welcoming to little ones. My toddlers love coming in to say hi!
