If you don't like Lola's you must be the only one in Madison. I know because everytime I have gone to Lola's everyone in Madison is trying to get in there. The atmosphere is terrific, the drinks are great and the food is basic but very creative. Try it, you'll like it!

I’ve been to a lot of cities in the world. This bar, and what they are trying to do with their ambience is a heavyweight contender. The food is so unique, when I ordered my Vesper, without hesitation the bartender asked if I preferred Lillet or Cocchi. Brilliant. I give it 20/10 because it’s in an unassuming strip mall.

Good service and drinks, great and appealing vibe - food is very off the mark though. Had the burger as the main - it tasted like what someone who's never cooked a burger but saw a picture of a Big Mac would make from previously-frozen patties. Rest of the food was very "all stars of the Sysco truck," though the cheese curds were a notable exception - those were great. As somebody else said, pelmeni were all wrapper, no filling (could also use more sour cream or vinegar or something else saucy on the side).

Top notch service, drinks, and food. As someone who has been to the OG Lola’s, the owners have beautifully captured the essence of the initial location.

Very cool spot. Drinks are great. Food was pretty good. Everyone who works there is nice, however we did have an issue where one of us got our food way later than the rest of the group. Additionally, we waited so long to sit down. We were told an hour but it was more like 2. There were a few times before my visit where I tried to come but ended up leaving because of the wait. I really wish this place did reservations because it appears that everyone who shows up has to wait at least an hour, and I feel like that puts everyone in a worse mood. I know this place is still new, so I am sure they are working out the kinks, but I think having reservations as an option for at least Friday and Saturday would make sense.

We've been reading about this place for months and knew it was the place to be. It is hot property and we have heard about 3 hour waits. So we went at 4:30pm on a weeknight and found that almost all of the tables were full though we were able to get a good booth. This place is all about a hip environment and it certainly delivers. Even the staff is hip. We started with a couple of their fancy cocktails like the sidecar and the cool runnings. Both were very tasty and of course very pricey. You know they are making big bucks on the drinks when they are almost the same price as most of their food items. We got an order of cheese curds - some of the better we have had in town and some of their spicy popcorn. For my main I got the fried chicken sandwich which was solid and came with a side of curly fries. Others got the midnight pasta which had a bit of a kick and got a thumbs up. The chili dog was also a hit. Overall it is worth a stop if for nothing else to see the fun decor and to enjoy the vibe.

We had a private party there on a day that they were normally closed. The bar staff was friendly and quick to pour you your drink. The wait staff was checking on us to make sure we had our drinks or if we wanted to order food. The atmosphere was amazing and too cool. Loved the way this placed looked. It, to me, was a cross between Rat Pack and the roaring 20’s. The booth held 6 of us and we could have had up to 8 I think in there. The food, we had ordered burgers and pizza, for appetizers we had the AMAZING cheese curds! Anyone who ordered a burger, you must watch Pulp Fiction because I believe that is how they came up with the name of the burger. The pizza was a thin crust and was very good.Price to value, fair price and the food was great tasting so the value was spot on. Great place to go hang out for drinks or food. I will definitely be back.

A great, energetic vibe with fantastic music, amazing drinks, and delightful servers. The food started off strong with the dumpling offerings and deviled eggs, but ended on a weaker note with an overpriced, mediocre burger that was dried out and more bun than not. You're in a rough position when the best thing on the menu is the chili dog, although a really good chili dog at that. Would return, but felt the food was not worth the hour+ wait. The menu has promise, but, is currently overpriced and under delivered. Waiting for the hype to die down so it's easier to get a seat on the weekend, or for the food to improve.

Great atmosphere and service. It was very busy! We were there right when they opened. Bar was full already. We luckily got a table! Neat place!!

A victim of its own popularity, for now. After trying a few different times and having a multiple-hour wait, we went 15 minutes after opening and it already had a 45 minute wait that we stuck out. The tables for 2 are also really awkward and cramped - I think I would’ve rather eaten at the bar. Drinks are great. Food is solid and it’s an interesting menu. The vibe seems like it SHOULD be cool, but it’s so crowded that mostly the vibe is “too many people”, especially at the smaller cafe tables in front where all the people waiting are crowded around you. I need to figure out when to go here when it’s not slammed and when I have a big enough group to warrant a real seat. But so far this has been too busy to be what it seems like it’s trying to be.

A solid option on the near north side of town. Love the aesthetics of the interior. They really live into the "lounge" aspect of their name. Warm and cozy-it was a great way to escape the cold of a Saturday winter night. Love the retro theme with seating at the bar, tables, and booths. Cocktail wise, they have a solid menu. I would like to see their liquor selection be a bit broader (especially their gin choices) but overall, no complaints. Food is solid but as in their cocktail menu, nothing outstanding. Ordered a few apps, pizza, and dandan noodles. I was surprised of the angel hair noodles as they are too thin and delicate to hold up to the sauce. Flavorwise, it was on point. Our cheese curds and deviled eggs were fine as were the dumplings and prosciutto pizza. It was an enjoyable night. Interior-wise, Lolas is well conceived with food and drink being fine. Would I wait almost 2 hours for a table as we did on that Saturday night? Nope. But I wouldn't hesitate stopping off hours if I was in the area.
