Classic Italian. Loved it!
Wow! Didn’t think I could find Italian cuisine this fine outside Chicago or New York (or maybe Rome). The dishes are exceptionally well prepared and delectable. Very nice wine and cocktail selection. The pizza makes my top-ten list from anywhere!Nice outdoor seating area, pleasant ambiance, and friendly attentive service. I shall be returning.
Some of the best meals I have ever had in a restaurant have been here. Great service as well. Their margherita pizza and caprese(sp?) salad are heavenly. Yep, heavenly

The outdoor dining in the parking lot is phenomenal! Always avoid going to Lombardino's on a Friday night because of the difficulty of getting a seat, but with the open patio, we walked right in at 6:15 pm. The food of course is always local and innovative, a lovely Wisconsin take on Italian-American cuisine.
Food is well done, reliable Italian fare with neapolitan style pizzas and entrees. The menu is just as we remembered it from years past but with smaller dessert section than before. Bar is well stocked, including grapas and dessert wines. Service was good but with some hiccups with seating since return of dine in option. I miss the materials that had previously been under the glass at the booths and tables and hope they make a return. I am glad Lumbardino's is open for dining again!
Amazing Italian spot! Have been coming here with my family for over 10 years and it has always been amazing! Classic menu options and dining ambiance. Service is wonderful (they package leftovers for you!). Highly recommend the calamari, Lombardino pizza, and bolognese.
This place is always good. Best Italian in Madison. Pasta, chicken, calamari... have never had anything bad. Service is prompt but doesn't rush you, wine is fair priced compared to other places around town. We always leave 10/10 happy
The hostess and waiter were great both times I went because I was staying at the hotel across the street and this place had been recommended. Both times I had an app and an entree. The app I liked the most was the calamari- but some pieces were a bit chewy which is never a good sign. If you come here and get a caprese, it's the chef's interpretation of a caprese, as if you explained what a caprese is in Russian to a Inuit and that in turn got translated to a Venezuelan who translated it back into English. If you order a caprese here, expect a semi-melted lump of mozzarella in the middle of a bowl with a swampy cherry tomato/balsamic bouillabaisse and two slices of toasted bread. I couldn't even taste the mozzarella which, to me, is part of the joy of a caprese. The ravioli in the lamb ragu was decent- though it was easy to tell that the ravioli was cooked too long, the flavors were good. The rappini and hot sausage with orecchiette with garlic sauce was another misfire. The garlic sauce overpowers the rappini and hot sausage to the point all you taste is butter and garlic, you know you're eating the rapini and sausage because of how they feel in your mouth, but their tastes are overpowered. If you eat that entree, you'll be experiencing that butter/garlic creme for the rest of the night and into the following morning. This is not a cheap place to eat, and I was really hoping for better based on all of the reviews, so much so that I went back twice after thinking the first time was a fluke (chalked up to Covid reboot or whatever). My experiences here make me wonder if the owners actually eat the food this place serves and if all the people leaving amazing 5 star reviews have ever actually eaten at a really proper Italian restaurant (or if they go to Applebees when they're hungry for a steak). The Lombardinos of today wouldn't last more than six months in the tri-state area out east before shutting their doors due to lack of business. The chef must be a chain smoker who lost his taste buds a long time ago. And again, the wait staff were excellent. Not their fault I'll never go back again.
Great food and service. Nice ambiente too.
Excellent! Roasted brussels sprouts were so yummy, and the pizza Carbonara is the stuff dreams are made of!
So good! Great staff. Fantastic food. Excellent drinks.
Enjoyed great dinner and our server was so friendly. Thanks for a lovely experience. We'll be back.
We had a great time at Lombardino's! The food was amazing!!When we got there, we were told it would be an hour's wait but we got seated within 10 minutes. The staff made excellent suggestions when it came to choosing our meals. It is definitely worth a visit and would definitely go again!!
Had puttanesca and the asparagus pizza last night. As always the food was spectacular and the service outstanding. Thanks Lombardinos!
