Confusing set up.I would recommend sitting right in front of the active bar tenders if you want service.Was able to get two drinks in an hour and it was not busy. Bar tenders have no sense of how long you have been waiting.

The old fashioned Old Fashioned is dangerously taste. Pomeroy Sidecar is also delicious. Wasn't as impressed with the Manhattan- less sweet than I like.

We had our wedding reception at Old Sugar Distillery and it was exceptional. Nathan and the staff were extremely professional, kind, and easy going. The drinks are DELICIOUS and super reasonably priced. Our guests had so much fun and the space is just naturally so comfortable and beautiful. Huge shoutout to the bartender wearing a hot dog costume- truly made our night and brought the Halloween vibes!

We missed Old Sugar Distillery so much! We finally got to hit this place up when we were last in town. It has all the Wisconsin vibes - warm, cozy, and welcoming and located just a 10 minute walk from the Capitol. They had a few autumn drink specials that looked enticing but we went for our tried and true favorite, the Honeycap! They go down easy and taste delicious. This space is great for parties and private events in the open side room. Stop in here before you hit up a show at the Sylvee!
This place is a Madison treasure. Everyone I bring love the honey caps and gringos. I appreciate the drinks are well priced, and that they encourage pups to visit! Always a joy

I've been a long time fan of this place for their amazing drinks at a very reasonable cost, but recently also used these place as my wedding venue and they were PERFECT.Amazing communication, bartenders, and staff in general. Not to mention the event room is beautiful and looks so warm and inviting in the evening light. 10/10 recommend them as a place to just grab a drink or host an event.
