“Midwest white dude with no real expertise in Ramen enjoyed his meal. Service was beyond quick. I think I had the daily chicken special. Waiter and I definitely had different first languages. Whatever I ate was tasty. Lunchtime crowd on a weekend was a mix of young and old.Kid-friendliness: Kid at the next table seemed pretty darn happy.Wheelchair accessibility: Modern building with a mostly open floor plan. No steps.“
“Just tried Unami Ramen for the first time! It is located on Williamson St, across from Feast. There is street parking available, but they also have their own little lot. We came during happy hour in order to try some half off saketinis! We had the lychee, snow pear, and hanami blossom. The lychee was our favorite. For an appetizer we tried the spicy tofu buns. They were good, but we wished they were filled more. The one piece of tofu felt a little skimpy. For ramen we tried the pork tonkotsu and the vegetarian tonkotsu. I was really amazed at how rich and flavorful the vegetarian one was! I feel like most ramen places aren't able to mimic the richness of a meat broth with their vegetarian options, so I was quite impressed!! Our server was also nice so overall a great experience.“
“As a ramen enthusiast on a quest to uncover Madison's top noodle spot, I recently visited Strings Ramen with a friend. Opting for the Sui Gyoza - boiled chicken dumplings with a spicy ponzu sauce - alongside the Spicy Crab Miso Ramen at Level one spice, our expectations were high. While the ramen was decent, it didn't quite hit the mark of extraordinary. However, the Sui Gyoza stole the show with its flavorful filling and zesty ponzu sauce, leaving a lasting impression. Service was impeccable, and the convenience of finding parking right in front was a definite plus in a city where parking can often be a challenge. Though the ramen didn't blow me away, the overall experience was enjoyable, making it a worthwhile stop on my quest for the perfect bowl of noodles.“
“We got the Sequoia Deluxe which includes a California roll, 6 nigiri (2 ea: salmon, yellowtail, tuna this might be chefs choice), and chefs choice specialty roll which he created. The specialty roll was the best roll I’ve had since being in Madison! Nigiri was delicious as well. Also had Spicy Edamame for an appetizer which was spicy and perfect. I got a beer and my husband got a drink total came to $56. Great price for great quality. Also cute relaxed vibes going. Can’t wait to come back. Parking is on the street so can be difficult if a busy time.“
“The food is so good!!! best ramen in Madison without fail!! and the service and atmosphere is also so great, the orders are always taken very soon after getting seated, and the food always comes out super fast. Great atmosphere and food is consistently good no matter what day, time, or how busy it is. Only bad side is how pricey it is, but for the quantity it makes up for it.“
