On a Sunday evening, the place was not overcrowded, and the atmosphere is sophisticated. We dressed casually, and didn't feel like we were under-dressed.

Sultan is a cool restaurant on Williamson Street in Madison. Great service and no tipping needed. That's kinda unique in Madison. It's a small plate restaurant so if you're hungry, order lots. And definitely get the delicious naan. Which can help fill you up. ?

I almost don't want to write this review because then it will get harder to get a table here but the people must know, This place is fantastic!We came here for our anniversary dinner. The staff was so sweet and put out flowers on our table which was the cutest touch. We were attentively taken care of and given excellent suggestions for ordering according to what we had enjoyed previously. The Naan is a must, the lamb was super tender and flavorful. I have to say I still dream about the bread pudding, soft, yummy, balanced with textures from the nuts and the dried fruit. Our server, Erica (I'm pretty sure that was her name) was fantastic! So Sweet and knowledgeable. She made sure we knew about their punch card/loyalty card and we are eager to fill that bad boy out since the perks are crazy good.

This place was FANTASTIC and had AMAZING service. We loved the food and the outstanding atmosphere. We found this restaurant on google, we then made a reservation and glad we did!:-). The chef greeted all customers and there were so many delicious choices on the menu. The background music selection was perfect for the atmosphere and ambiance, and for enjoying dinner. The music is loud enough to hear, but not so loud you couldn't enjoy dinner conversation. My wife and I really enjoyed the entire evening. We will be back, thank you to everyone at Sultan Madison!:-)

This is the most unique Pakistani restaurant I have been to, Tapas style! Aloo aur phal ki chaat was phenomenal, the mix of tamarind and berry is a great combination. Matka ghosht, a lamb dish, was excellent as well. The naan here is not served as an accompaniment, which is great because you can enjoy their unique take. The Shahi Tukray dessert was decadent, I recommend sharing.I'm a child of pakistani immigrants so I know all the names, but don't worry as the menu describes the dishes well and staff are well versed on the details. Don't be afraid to try!
