We were seated for an hour and a half before we decided to cancel our order. And still paid almost $50 for 3 drinks and some chips. There are only like 10 tables in here, how long does it take to make tacos?

First time coming here, and I was quite pleased. The service and atmosphere were definitely the highlight. We came in without a reservation, and they accommodated us so we could make it to our concert at the Sylvee on time. I wish I remembered our server's name, cuz he was excellent.The drink selection is the main issue for us. They didn't have regular mixed drinks and no lemonade or cranberry juice. They do have mexican sodas, but they were out of some flavors.

Such an amazing gem!! The atmosphere was super chill. The owner was extremely kind, all our food was amazing. The margs were hand crafted super fresh. I had the mango braised tacos AMAZING. Came from Dubuque and would come back just for this food.
Got the steak tacos and house made chips and dip flight for pickup. Hands down, THE BEST steak tacos I have ever had. And I have eaten a lot of steak tacos. The steak was fantastic and all accoutrements were tasty. The guacamole and pico de gallo were also fantastic. 110% will order again. Restaurant ambience seemed very clean and nice during pickup. Can't recommend enough.

The food is nothing special - all pretty bland really. The most notable thing about this place is how horrible (read:non existent) the ventilation is and how awful you will smell after leaving. Be prepared to fully disrobe, wash your clothes, shower and wash your hair because you will stink.

Taco Local prides itself in fine Mexican cuisine. Great tacos, fun atmosphere, and fast service. The al pastor tacos were extremely flavorful and the serving was very generous. Carnitas were super tender and the trio of dips were delicious. Prices are quite higher than standard taco joints, but the food is authentic and comes out right away, hot and fresh. Will return to try the tequila lime chicken, Korean bbq and a few margaritas.

Atmosphere is great. In our group, 2 ordered vegetarian and 2 didn't. The vegetarian tacos were under seasoned and just kinda bland. The others were uncomfortably spicy. I suspect the chef doesn't voluntarily eat the vegetarian options frequently.

I wanted to like this place, but honestly I cannot understand the high ratings. Came here with a large party and we all agreed the food was average at best. Our server was great, but the tacos were lacking flavor, the steak was overcooked, the pork was dry, and the shrimp had an odd dry spice. The guacamole was the best thing I had. I'd only come back for drinks (since I've not had one) but would not do the food again. Sorry.
