A true "hole in the wall" as it were, but the Plaza Burger is top notch 9/10. Absolute recommend for any human who loves a good burger with and outstanding, lip smacking sauce.

It is a classic bar. It's not some cutesie fake speakeasy or craft cocktail place. Its a bar with barfood, bar tv, bar decor (neon beer ads) and very kind/capable bartenders & staff. It is beautiful. It's the bar I think of if someone says "a horse walks into a bar...". It is perfection.

Enjoy this untouched classic. Nothing has been remodeled. Huge canvases of woods and lakes. Reunite with old friends. We are lucky to have this place. Food is flawless. The fishwich with onion rings and an extra side of plaza sauce. And isn’t my cat cute?

This is a great old bar in the heart of Madison. They have a decent bar food menu- burgers, fries, onion rings. The best part about this place is it's unchanged, makes it a perfect spot if you like dive bars!!!

The plaza is one of my absolute favorite places in Madison and I miss it with my whole heart!
Felt like I was putting the staff out by being there. Listened to them complaining about customers. They apparently don't know how the bills are paid.Ordered a cheese plaza burger but got a regular cheese burger instead. Not sure if they didn't think that I would notice the difference but I've been eating their burgers since before anyone working there was born.I will not be going back and encourage anyone reading this to do the same.To think I donated to their gofundme drive during covid to help them stay afloat.

7/23/2023 - Hubby and I went for a Plazaburger. It's been years since we've been, but the burgers, though seeming smaller than my memory goes, are still tasty, the fries are the best and the place hasn't changed much in the last 12 or so years. Easy atmosphere with tasty food at good prices!

The bouncer was extremely disrespectful to us tonight. After letting in all of my white friends and arguing with me about it for several minutes, he made racist remarks and pushed me back.
