Absolutely love this coffee and the atmosphere in this place. I would highly recommend this place for the most delicious coffee in Madison and potentially on my top 5 in the nation (I travel for work). It's so very cute and clean inside the shop. Most all of the workers are very friendly too! The breakfast bagel sandwich is also to die for. I do miss their full meal menu, but the pastries are delicious when I need a pick-me-up. I'm a regular visitor and come in at least twice a week as well as consuming their coffee at home!However, the downfall is their loyalty program... after 10 stamps (separate visit purchase trips) I only get $2 off??????? It's quite ridiculous for the amount of money I spend there that makes myself and others reconsider going there when on a budget. I would love for them to at least make it $5 or a free coffee. $2 will not even buy a regular coffee nowadays.Beyond that Wonderstate is amazing and I highly recommend you check them out

Can't rate much to the actual experience had we actually went. My troubles began before we hit the entrance. I had to search 3 different sites to find any sort of breakfast food menu. Then when I did find it, out of the dozen or so options only 3 were not out of stock. 9am on a Sunday feels like a great time to have food available for your guests. Avocado toast.. $13. Granola and yogurt.. $8, Yeah right. No we did not eat there. Idc how good you think your options are, it's simply not worth it seeing as you can't even supply your customers with food that you "offer".I am sure the staff and atmosphere is as great as other reviews. However, they dropped the ball for us.

I first visited Wonderstate at their Viroqua location when I was traveling for work, and I was sad that such a good coffee shop was located far from me. Then I discovered their Madison location! Great coffee, and a fresh, delicious menu with ingredients from local farmers.

I felt unsatisfied with my experience at this cafe but I feel like I should provide some constructive criticism. The food and beverages were very good, however the service could definitely be improved. The cashier was not very welcoming or informative and did not put much effort into any interaction with me or anyone in my group. On top of that, I waited nearly 30 minutes for a bagel while the staff just stood around chatting. As someone who is in college and with customer service and restaurant experience, I felt like this service was unacceptable. Also, as a side note, if the food takes a while to prepare that is totally okay and understandable since it’s all made fresh, but make sure you communicate that with the customers as well.

Lovely ambiance and good location near the capital. Coffee tasted like it was high quality and there were some other fun items for sale. It’d be nice if the menu was bigger and if they carried things like dark chocolate. But otherwise it can be one of the best stops for coffee in Madison.

FINALLY a place that knows how to make tea right! Instead of giving you a tea bag in boiling water and calling it a day (looking at you, Starbucks), this place uses loose leaf tea, gives you a cute single serve tea steeper, and a timer that goes off when your tea is ready! The ambiance is great, and the seating is comfortable, if not super cozy. Highly recommend!

This coffee shop is why I always frequent local establishments when I travel. Wonderful local coffee shop with knowledgable, helpful staff! I bought a bag of fresh-roasted beans with guidance from one of employees. Ordered the mocha and loved that it came with beautiful latte art. It was pure perfection-a true local coffee shop. It was not overly sweet or loaded with whipped cream like Starbucks. It highlighted the perfectly roasted beans with just a hint of sweetness and good chocolate. I also appreciated a delicious gluten free chocolate cookie!The shop has high ceilings, tall windows, and beautiful natural lighting. It has a sleek modern feel and is the perfect place to enjoy a cup.

Super busy today with some sort of farmer's market in the square so there was a long queue of folks getting coffee. I was fine with that, managing to find a seat and figured that I would spend a bit here to charge electronics while enjoying a coffee.And yes, the coffee was decent but I opted not to stick around since there are no power outlets here and my phone was low. Wonderstate Coffee is a quiet and beautiful cafe in Capitol square that is perfect for both working remotely and social gatherings. It has a bright and vibrant environment with helpful and patient staff. The dark roast pour over coffee was super smooth. And the breakfast sandwich was perfectly toasted, with a generous amount of aioli. I can't wait to return to Wonderstate to work remotely and enjoy more of the items on their menus.

The best coffee shop in Madison! If you enjoy top shelf coffee and people who care ahout making it, Wonderstate is the place for you. All of the baristas are incredibly kind and welcoming, including the amazing Erin who always welcomes me and others with grace and passion! She takes coffee and service very seriously and it greatly shows. Come to wonderstate if you're down by the Capital Square, or make a trip out to Madison, it's worth it!
