This was my second trip with Sandy Shores. The first time I went, I tent camped which was tent camping and the bathrooms were a bit scary. But this time for our annual friends float I rented a studio cabin. The bathrooms have also been updated and our no longer scary, they are actually pretty nice and with flushing toilets. The women’s bathroom ran out of supplies during my trip and I’m not sure who you notify of this but it all worked out. The showers in my opinion, the cost is a bit high at 25¢ for 38 seconds. The studio cabin I rented was in the same building as the bathrooms but it wasn’t an issue from the noise. I will say that setting up consisted of putting our food in the fridge, turning on our AC, and making our bed; which was great! My only complaint there would be that the pull out couch was extremely uncomfortable. I understand it was a pull out bed, but I feel like a futon would have even been a more comfortable choice. There’s only two studio cabins, and I feel like a little more investment could have been made in that area. Sleeping on 2 inches of springs covered by what felt like a fitted sheet was very uncomfortable. The float was a great time as always! I like that they come out on jet skis and check in with you, and don’t just leave you to figure it out on your own. One BIG plus is the bus to take you to and from the float is on site. So there’s no driving after a day of cocktails and sun. Will definitely go again regardless of the beds. Just have to bring a thick topper next time.

My friends and I have been tubing with Sandy Shores for three years in a row on our annual vacation and we've always had a great time. Each year, we choose a different lake to stay on in central WI and we've all agreed that we need to make sure we stay close enough so we can schedule a float with Sandy Shores! This year, Mallory was the superstar who made sure we all had what we needed, including upgrading to a tube with back support (yes, please!), as well as our cooler float. She got us all loaded into the van and unloaded at the river, making sure we understood exactly where to find her for the pickup! Getting out was a breeze as well - just look for the orange markers, walk to the shore, pick up your tube and walk up to the van, where they'll take your tube from you, pack it up and load you into the van to return to your car. And a bonus - you leave your keys and ID with them when you float, so there's zero chance of losing your keys in the river! Sandy Shores is organized and streamlined to make the whole process very enjoyable - just log on to their site & reserve your time (highly recommend) and bring cash (for the float and to tip!!). The float itself takes about 2 hours, but there are a couple of sand bars that you can stop at to take a time out and chill, if you'd like. Thanks Sandy Shores for always giving us a great experience!

They were very friendly when we called to ask questions. It was a great experience. The river was so relaxing and we got to see a beautiful fawn and eagles.

Had the vest time!! Great staff, friendly and super helpful! Make sure to check out the bar!
We had a super fun time. There were 10 of us from ages 9-23. Braden gave us great instructions, the weather was perfect and the River just the right depth and soooo clear.

We had so much fun spending about 90 minutes floating down the Wisconsin river! The water was warm and the flow was perfect. The staff we excellent making sure we were going the right way and getting us at the end. If you are looking for something unique to do in the Dells - we were a party of 2 but there were several large groups all having a great time floating together as well - I highly would recommend this activity!

We make Sandy Shores a must do activity every summer and have never been disappointed! Brandon and Amber have built their business as a must visit destination for Mauston. Employees are all professional and knowledgeable, equipment is in good shape, and there is so much to do! We are hoping to stay at the campground before the end of summer and are looking forward to the concerts and events coming up. Definitely recommend! Great job Brandon and Amber and the rest of the Sandy Shores team!
Crazy in there but bartender was amazing!
