Just had their food for the first time, and it was so good that I had to write a review immediately after! At this location, they only serve their fried catfish on Fridays (no chicken or other meat), and it is PERFECT. It's easily the best catfish I've ever had - it's moist on the inside, the batter is thin but has a nice crunch to it. Of the sides we ordered, my favorites were the fried green tomatoes and the baked beans. The banana pudding is also fantastic! It's kinda thick and so flavorful. We ordered takeout, and the person who took our order and gave it to us was so kind and friendly.We will definitely be back to try their fried chicken! If you're thinking about eating here, do it!

EDITED: I am rewriting this review because the owners response made me rethink my choice of words. I should have been less crass.The guy behind counter had a very visibly displayed gun. If the owner feels this is ok for safety of his customers or his employees, I certainly don't feel safe or comfortable bringing my children here. Obviously someone has a reason to think this acceptable, but it is called a conceal carry for a reason.The food was also not great. We were disappointed.The hours online did not match when the business is open. We live very near there, have tried getting in there for months. I believe it has since been updated?

Coming from out of town I was looking for some great soul food , Arlanderz came highly recommended ! This place was AMAZING ... the customer service was on point , the family vibe was everything , and of course the food was ??? . I will definitely go back when I’m in town again ! And will recommend to anybody that goes to Milwaukee !

I got off work and wanted some food and I went there for the first time. I’m sorry but I was very disappointed. My dressing was like hard like and my beans tasted like nothing I had to mix it with macaroni to get some flavor. The chicken tasted like flour. It just wasn’t good to me I wish I had a better experience and

I saw a news story about a week ago about this place, and put it on my list of places to try, since it was local and also the food that they were showing during the news segment looked so good! When I walked in the smell was amazing!! I got 2 of the Roast Combo Plates with Mash Potatoes, Okra and Mac and Cheese for the sides and Banana Pudding for desert. On the way home I kept saying how good it smelled and hoped it tasted just as good, and boy did it ever! While the meat didn't just fall apart and melt in your mouth, the flavor made up for it, the Mac and cheese reminded me of how my great grandmother use to make hers. And let me tell you about the Banana Pudding, it was off the charts delicious!! For sure gonna be going back to Arlanderz!!!

We went to the new east side location along with everyone else who saw it on Fox6 this morning. The restaurant was not fancy and parking was awful but the food was wonderful. We ordered catfish hush puppies and chicken wings. The catfish was seasoned to perfection and the frying was perfect. Nice large portions. The wings were good but very small. What the wings lacked, was made up for in the catfish. We drove in from Kenosha so will probably try the Menominee Falls location instead of the east side because of parking.

We got takeout! Smothered chicken, waffles and chicken, and almost every side. The food was incredibly delicious! The chicken was so flavorful and crispy and juicy-- definitely the best I've ever had. Definitely a hidden gem in the Falls. Don't skip this place! We will be back for sure.

Food was good with the exception of the mac n cheese. It was too gummy. Chicken breast was moist and delicious. Yams were good also

Stopped for the first time for lunch. I was told catfish was the only thing they had so I went ahead and ordered it. Asked for mashed potatoes and cabbage as sides. Then waited outside. Order came out and cabbage juice had leaked out in the bag. The food was pretty good but fishing my hot sauce packets and plastic ware out of the juice in the bag was kind of gross. I will try again and avoid cabbage in a takeout container.
