Really wanted to like this place given it being in my hometown and Mexican, but if being honest just didn’t have a good experienceOrdered a steak bowl and it took a 25 minute wait when there were only a couple people there eating. After getting it, the steak was extremely over-seasoned to the point it barely tasted like steak. On top of it the menu prices for the bowls compared to the portion of food they give you is blatantly overpriced. As a Mexican myself, you can find better Mexican food easily if you look around.

I live 30 minutes away I was out shopping and the store looked interesting I was hungry for Mexican and thought I'd give it a try. It was the best I can remember ever having. I'll go back many times. Thank you all for great food and service.Vegetarian options: My partner is Vegan and loved the selectionKid-friendliness: Have no Kids

The food was AMAZING! The service was maybe the worst I have ever had. He was rude and angry to every customer we saw and made it VERY apparent he did not want to be there and did not want any patrons to be there. I dined with my friend last night, who has been a server for 20 years and cuts everyone slack and even she said it was the worst she has been treated at a restaurant. It was also freezing in the building for some reason and we had to eat with our jackets on, as did other diners we noticed. Otherwise, nice atmosphere and cleanly. I don't know that I will go back because I don't want to be treated that way, but that is super sad because I know my husband would love the food as much as we did. Maybe we'll try take out (although he was even rude to take out patrons).Kid-friendliness: Only bar seating at the restaurant but easily can take kids and sit in the main public market area.

Our party just ordered drinks at the bar before heading elsewhere for dinner. Decided on some cocktails, the Paloma was excellent but one of our other party members ordered a mojito. When served our beverages we noticed there was no mint in the mojito (that’s what makes it a mojito, but okay…), we flag down the bartender and ask about the mint and all she says is “we’re out, that’s all we can do”. No apology or offer for something else. I’ve bartended in the past for about 5 years and if someone orders something that includes an item you are out of, generally you at least let them know in case they want to order something else.In the end, our ten dollar “mojito" (really just rum, lime juice, and simple syrup) that went untouched remained on the check with the replacement beverage and our other drinks (that were very yummy!).

A great addition to the Mequon public market. Staff is very friendly and service was great. I’ve tried most of the tacos and the tlacoyos, all of which are fantastic. Very balanced dishes with mixes of soft/crunchy, sweet/salty, acidity. My only (minimal) complaint is that the tortillas tear easily, I wish they doubled them or fried them up a little more!

My husband and I love this place. The food is excellent and the cocktails are too. Everything on the menu is delicious. Fresh ingredients and robust flavors. We needed this in the north shore/mequon area!!!

Excellent tacos, great side dishes too. Great food but the Public Market has much to be desired. Its very cold in there, windows are mostly covered up.

Fantastic food, friendly staff, and a pleasant spot to dine if you aren’t taking your food to-go. Everything I’ve tried I’ve throughly enjoyed— this place really is a gem in Mequon. Love stopping here during my work days and look forward to many more tasty meals!

The food was overly oily and salty. The yucca fries were floating in oil. The shrimp boca bowl was extremely salty. If I wanted salty, oily fast food, I could have gone to a fast food chain for 1/3 of the price.
