I stopped in for a nice dessert for Valentines. The selection is always wonderful and the pastries always look scrumptious. I bought the Black Forest Cake and it was divine! Not only was it delicious but it had the flavor of Germany, my home. Thank you for always baking so well, from the breads to the cakes to the pastries!
We tried a Clasen birthday cake for the first time and it was fabulous. It was 4 layers of yellow cake with buttercream frosting and strawberry jam filling. It was beautifully decorated with flowers, shavings, and fancy writing for my mother‘s birthday. The cake made the celebration all the more special, and everyone loved it. Thank you!

I basically come here for the morning buns. I feel Clasen's has the best morning buns in Dane County. Their other baked goods are fine, but I think there are better options. Pricey, but then again, every independent bakery in the area is.
