My family members and I have been here (or other locations) numerous times over the years. A visit to Madison always includes a stop. It's up near the top of great pizza's, with zesty sauce, fantastic WI cheeses, what other establishments would charge extra for and charge a bundle, they don't hold back. The cheese sticks are fantastic - with full approval from my exceedingly picky teen. Did I mention everything they serve is giant portions? It's a terrible time, though. They are closing this weekend. I'm driving out there today (70+ miles) just to order a few of our last goodies and say thanks for the memories.

Stopped through on a quick whim. I have never been here before. I was seated quickly and the staff was pretty friendly. I asked suggestions on menu options. I ended up ordering a “dead man walking” pizza. The pizza was very good. I will have to hit it again on the way through.

Got the gluten free candlesticks. Good for being gluten-free but that marinara sauce was amazing. Had it for dinner last night and then again for breakfast today. Not usually a huge sauce fan but wow. That was delicious even coldDietary restrictions: Gluten free breadsticks and pizza available Vegan options as well

The dining room is nothing to brag about, but the pizza is awesome. Honestly, from New York City to Los Angeles, I can't think of a better pepperoni pizza anywhere in the USA. The prices are quite reasonable and the employees are quite friendly. It's worth the drive from Chicago just to have Roman Candle pizza!

I feel really bad for the few people working. A restaurant shouldn't be open if the owner can't staff it. We were told we couldn't sit down to eat due to understaffing, then our cash wasn't accepted, and parts of our order were completely forgotten. Drove 45 minutes just to go eat in the car.

Amazing pizza in Middleton! Plus they have an arcade downstairs so bring your quarters! We loved that Yelp got us a discount on some breadsticks by checking in on the app! Sad to not try the Roman Candles cheesy sticks, but the Parmesan and seasoned breadsticks were divine! Or maybe it was their red sauce? We shared a pizza pie and they had a special shelf for it to sit on at our booth. Way to save space! We should have ordered a second pie! We woofed the cheesy, fresh topping slices downed and saved a few for later. So good! We heard a little boy talking about the games so we ventured downstairs after eating. There's an arcade! It's like I stepped back into the 1980's!! Galaga, Burger Time, Ms. PacMan! Sad to say my twenty year old son beat me at pac man! His hand eye coordination was on point! If you're ever out in Middleton look for the be nice neighbor mural and you will have found this throw back gem!

We walked here from our hotel for dinner and are so happy we did. Great fun atmosphere featuring fresh local food prepared with pride. Salads, bread sticks and pizza were all fantastic. However the staff, especially. James, the manager and Tessa, our server made us feel so welcome and couldn’t have treated us better. Can’t wait to go back. Great experience.

So you called me to say it’s going to be about a two hour wait for an outside definitely service, and I said that’s cool, I totally understand, when my food finally came 2 1/2 hours later I understood. What I got was dry AF broccoli, I paid for extra sauce. I got half my wings… was told it was the delivery service to blame. I said, so I’m paying $72.00 for an order that’s not right? I asked if I could come down in person to get the rest of my food. I was put on hold to eventually be told I may retrieve what I paid for. I was grateful to the servers until. I was told I WAS I BEING AN INCONVENIENCE TO THEM! I guess they wanted to close up early. I was there within 10 minutes of my messed up order Look bro, you were a major INCONVENIENCE to me and a Jack hole. No worries, I won’t inconvenience you ever again. I will gladly tell everyone I know at my CONVENIENCE about how you run a business.

We love Roman Candle! The pizza is delicious. I have celiac and it’s the only gluten free pizza in Madison I can safely eat. The gluten free crust is both chewy and crispy and they do a great job with cross-contamination precautions.

Meh. Xtra cheese half sausage and mushroom 6 pieces of sausage and pretty much the same mushrooms. Never good when you have to ask if extra cheese was put on. 1 small step above little Caesar's. Cmon you Guys. Feels like absentee owner. Nothing special at all

Pizza was soggy and soda was flat.

My first experience after reading amazing reviews. Pizza was over 2 hours late. Had to call to find out where the order was, was placed on hold for over 10 minutes and nobody ever came back. Called back and guy was unapologetic, just asked if I still wanted my pizza and hung up.

When we arrived we were seated immediately. All the staff was friendly and prompt. Our pizza was very good. My husband had wings also that he said was good.

We were there yesterday to try the pizza since we heard about the place multiple times and it 100% lived up to the hype. The pizza was delicious and perfectly crisped. Ingredients were fresh. And the house sauce was sooo good!I also got some wings (BBQ and Ginger Teriyaki) and they were pretty delicious as well. The staff was super nice and helpful. And the food came out fast. The Roman Candle is now in our top 5 pizza places (and probably ranking #1 for us in Madison).

Traveling through Madison staying at hotel and had vegan spicy pizza delivered. I am a terrible cook. This pizza is something I would make. Thin ordinary crust. Gobs of tomatoe and spicy sauce topped with really dry shredded basil. Like dry grass. A teaspoon of olives and onion on an entire 12 inch pizza. Maybe a tablespoon of pine nuts, but only on the last piece of pizza. In all fairness, I did ask for light feta cheese, but there was maybe a teaspoon on the entire pizza.I suspect ingredients cost $1-$2. My pizza was $14 plus I tipped. We were thinking of moving to Madison, but realizing this is what they think is "good quality" food I decided I would never move here. This place needs to close.
