With us being Hilton Honors Gold members through my husbands AMEX Platinum we had credits of $18 that we needed to spend. We ordered two poached eggs and toast. The server questioned our choice and seemed confused that we hadn't order protein (eggs?). We were given the choice of how we would like the eggs cooked. The poached eggs arrived in a small serving bowl and the toast was delivered on an equally small plate. Neither of which had room to combine the two so we had to request some bigger plates. The server then brought one plate so we had to request another. Finally we were in a position to eat.By this point the toast was cold. Personally I'm not sure it was ever particularly warm. When we spread the butter, it lay on top of the toast refusing to melt. The eggs were borderline lukewarm at this point. Luckily they were runny, I had chosen the runny option and my husband had gone for soft. By the time we ate, we couldn't really tell the difference between our choices. We did however, enjoy the final result. It set us up for the rest of the day.

Easily the worst dining experience I have ever had. The French toast was rock solid & had to be peeled out of the pan, the eggs tasted like something out of a bag, they had no French toast, the bacon wasn't even edible which really says something. And then on top of all that they charge $22 a person for bland, barely edible food. When jt came to service, there was none. We got seated with no silverware, when I asked someone where to get some and if I could pull from a preset table they told me no and to find a different waitress to ask for some. We got offered coffee or water once and never again, they didn't explain if it was a buffet or if there was a menu. We waited twice as long for the bill as it took us to eat our one plate of food. I would recommend mcdonalds over this place. The fruit was the only good thing they had to offer.

Beautiful, peaceful atmosphere with great music and the service was excellent. The omelettes were tasty and cooked to order, but the rest of the food was just OK. Waffles were cold and floppy, syrup was ice

Unfortunately left without eating, paid for a coffee only. Tables were dirty, glassware was dirty, cream container had old brown liquid residue on it. Buffet was $21.95 and barely looked like a Hampton Inn continental breakfast. Under impressed.

It had been a while since I have been here. It has not really changed much than the last 15 years I still highly would rate this hotel and restaurant anytime you're visiting downtown Milwaukee.

Let me first say I love the Hilton brand and will continue to support it. As a Diamond member, they treat you better than any program out there. I stayed here once before and my "upgrade" was a handicap room with little-to-no shower pressure and constant noise from all over. Yet I decided to give it another shot. However, this hotel continues to leave much to be desired. When I arrived I asked if there was a corner room with a view. I'm here for 7 long days and thought it couldn't hurt to ask for something nice for an entire week. The front desk woman specifically checked for that and I was told that's what I received. When I arrived I found my room is not on a corner. And is not at all what I would expect from a Hilton. This room is not just dated, but broken and dirty. The plugs are coming out of the light stands. The alarm clock looks like it was covered in paint or just beat up. The bathroom is tiny and you can't open the door all the way. The sink is cracked and has marks that I can't tell if they are dings or dirt. There's some sort of white gunk on the bathroom glass that won't come off. The TV doesn't work. There are hand prints and smudges all over the windows. The "view" is the top of another building. Even the artwork is mounted crooked. And I was kept up all night with the sounds of various other rooms flushing their toilets, taking a shower, and slamming doors. All sounded like they were directly behind my headboard. I barely slept at all. And I still have 6 more days here... I will continue to support the Hilton brand in the future. Just not this hotel.

I've stayed here many times and never reviewed so here it goes This place must've been very grand in its heyday.... Ornate ceilings, moldings, lobby and elevator doors...nice wide hallways to your rooms, etc... But it's in need of a refresher if you will...paint , carpet, color scheme. It just seems tired The beds are comfortable enough and the pillows are really good. The room is clean and large enough with two queens allowing for a desk, dresser and a side chair The bathroom needs updating and hot water...the temp never gets really hot The staff is young and tries to accommodate. It's in a nice location allowing for about a 10-15 minute walk to the trendy area on the other side of the bridge

The pros: Beautiful lobby in art deco style. The place looks classy and fantastic when you walk in. The location is great. The downstairs bar is lively and fun with great food. The staff is professional and welcoming. The parking lot across the street is only $15 for 24 hours, which is pretty reasonable. The Cons: The rooms are dated, not maintained to 5 star hotel standards, and tiny. The bathrooms are so small the door wont even open all the way. No dresser or sofa, just a lone armchair. Water pressure just a dribble. The toilets are stupid loud from a junior high school. You can hear every flush from rooms all over your floor. Sounds like a plane taking off. Our TV didn't work, but we were cleaning up to leave, so not worth the effort. Beds not bad, but definitely not high-end. So for the $260 per night price tag - horrifically overpriced. Gorgeous lobby aside, I'd rather save $120 and stay at the Hampton Inn.

My identity was stolen for a booking at this hotel. They were willfully unhelpful towards resolving the situation. One personnel was more helpful than others, another thought the situation was entertaining.

So... what exactly did I find on the floor? I will say this place isn't THAT bad... I mean, it's bad but not THAT bad! Apparently, doing a thorough job of vacuuming a room is against the rules - the carpets are filthy. There is a stain on the floor and I can't tell if it's blood or something else (I forgot my black light at home - meh), and about a foot away from the assumed murder stain is a toenail clipping - it's NASTY! SO nasty that I refuse to walk on the carpet without my slippers on! While inspecting other areas of the carpet, I seemed to find other little gems that have been left behind by others of a distant (or recent) past; mystery scavenger hunt items, if you will! But, at least the beds and shower were clean! Much to my chagrin, this place is not better than a cheap motel with an art deco facade on some lonely and shady highway. I expected much better for a Hilton, and will never stay here again. Ick!

Wow. I have never stayed at a hotel where they didn't have some sort of hotel "book" or instructions in the room. Sad. Then I saw the bathroom and I guess it makes sense. RME

Beautiful lobby and great location but clearly they spent more time on the aesthetics of the lobby than their rooms. The bathroom door has severe chipped paint and the overflow drain cap fell off within seconds of using the tub. Definitely see some cracks around the room and surprised to not see a mini fridge. Also heads up to guests who check in through their app- the room you book online might not be the one you get in person. I booked a room with a king sized bed and walked into 2 doubles. I was told that there was a room shortage despite booking ahead of time and the staff could do nothing about it. She didn't even apologize or offer anything else. Super dissatisfied with the service and probably won't be coming here again.

This place was a lifesaver - I had booked somewhere else and could not stay - this was during Summerfest - I called Hilton and they were able to get us in for the weekend - what a beautiful facility - nice lobby, great employees, super clean/modern room. It was quiet and comfortable. They have an attached parking garage and can bill to your room OR there is a general parking close by. We felt safe and comfortable here and will stay here again.
