My husband, my daughter and myself ate here. We were not impressed. My husband and daughter ordered the Ruben which the menu stated was slow cooked corn beef. Well....the "Ruben" was basically sliced processed lunch meat. They both sent it back to the kitchen and ordered something else. My daughter then ordered the Mac n' cheese which was just ok, it was bland. My husband returned his Ruben and opted for the fish fry. He said the fish was cooked well but lacked seasoning. I ordered the vegan wings and they were ok. They were well seasoned but I would not order them again. I did enjoy the vegan cherry pie. It was very tasty and the highlight of my meal. I also ordered 2 margaritas on the rocks which were good. My daughter had the salted Carmel pie that she did not enjoy. She said the saltiness overpowered the carmel flavor. The server was nice and accommodating. All and all the food was mediocre and overpriced for what we got.

We are from Indiana and go to Comet Cafe every time we visit our son in Milwaukee. We went twice this time. Love the food and the atmosphere. Nothing fancy but it's clean and the staff are really nice. Lots of delicious vegetarian and vegan options too. The Vegan Biscuits and Gravy and the Tofu Scramble are my favorite. The biscuits are delicious and the Tofu Scramble has lots of veggies and vegan sausage. Highly recommend

I feel like they always have salad food. I like the roast beef sandwich, generally and the homemade sauces, particularly the balsamic for the side salad, and the tartar sauce are really good. Of course they're bloody. Mary's are bomb. Services good they do well balancing the busyness with customer service and getting people in and out. And the ambience and chill. I'm glad they came back.

While the food looked great, it was very dry. Would never get anything with the homemade biscuits ever again, but it was a good try.

The food here is AMAZING! I personally recommend the rocket platter. The mix of hash browns, eggs, pancakes, and bacon are sooo good! Our food was served really fast within 15 mins.

Out of this world food and homey welcoming vibe. Must get the Poutine. My Canadian friend said it was the best he's had. Wish they would bottle the gravy. Soo good!

I have to admit I was disappointed with my meal. I had the Stendler, which was just stuffed with hashbrowns very small and very few bits of some meat that I could not get a flavor of, and very little egg. Cheese was non-existent in this wrap as well. I must say the artistry of the Sriracha was nice.

Honestly one of greatest breakfasts I’ve had in years. The fact that I had a wicked hangover made it even more special. Pork belly and grits plus a side of hash browns and two extra eggs. I’m pretty sure if it was put in a blender and introduced intravenously it would have had the same glorious effect.

After years of hearing great things about Comet Cafe, I finally had the opportunity to eat brunch there. The restaurant was very busy and now I know why. The staff was very friendly and the food was really good. I went all out and ordered the biscuits and gravy which I almost never order and I was in for a wonderful treat as they were delicious. The portion was large, half of it went home with me. The biscuits were perfect. And, since I had already splurged with calories I ordered Door County Cherry pie which was amazing. I really enjoy all the restaurants in this group of restaurants. All of them are outstanding.

Comet Cafe serves up delicious comfort food in a delightfully retro environment. Stopped by here recently (and during Women's History Month to boot, to celebrate this woman-owned biz) to enjoy dinner and a cocktail with my husband. We started things off with a Manhattan. Their cocktails are pitch perfect. We enjoyed the cocktail as we awaited our main dishes. I got the spinach artichoke sandwich and my dining companion got some sort of cheesy casserole. Both were divine. My sandwich had spinach, artichoke, onion, and melted provolone on a roll. It was flavorful and delicious. It came with a side of fries that appeared to be hand cut--they were so good! My husband's casserole (I had a bite) was herbaceous and delicious. I would absolutely order it! It came with what tasted like a fresh baked roll. Everything was wonderful. We ended the evening by sharing a slice of chocolate hazelnut pie. It was also amazing! The crust was a little too thick and kinda difficult to get through (we literally used a knife) but it was so tasty we didn't mind. Our server was friendly and efficient--our water glasses were always full and our dishes were served quickly. She was great! Get to it!
