I have been going to this place with my kids for years. However the last few times we have gone the food has been mediocre at best. The last item I ordered was almost inedible. So disappointing. I hope they can get it together, maybe we will try

I came at prime brunch time and was welcomed warmly by both the barista behind the counter and also a waitress when I transitioned into the dining area. The person I was with and I had a lot to chat about and our waitress came back like three times before we finally ordered our drinks; she was so kind and didn't pressure us to keep it moving. My Bloody Mary was good: it included a huge pickle and a chaser. I got the spicy chorizo hash and it was huge; the potatoes aren't crispy though--that's the only thing I wished were different. The sourdough toast was perfect and I'd come back again because everything on the menu looked really good!

Used to 2 slices of toast. Coffee came in 12 ounce cup only and with a drop of caramel was a whopping $4. The receipt was preprinted with tip amounts starting with 20%. Not cool. Way over priced.

Really cute spot for breakfast/lunch with excellent food. Only downside is the lack of parking on a busy day, but even then it's just a stroll up the street by the fancy houses to the north. Staff was lovely.

Don't listen to these 4 star reviews, Highlands Cafe blew us out of the water! Great ambience, fantastic service, and amaaaaaazing food. We highly recommend the kitchen sink omelette and, especially, the mouth-watering corned beef hash

Nice cafe in a cool neighborhood. Window seats with warm sunshine, good company, food… and good to know, access to generic viagra.

This place is a treat with a warm welcoming atmosphere, a waitstaff that is delightful, and food that is delicious and plentiful. My husband and I split the corned beef hash breakfast which comes with large hunks of potatoes, a generous helping a shredded corned beef and caramelized onions that melt in your mouth. Topped with two eggs perfectly cooked and a side of toast ( we chose the rye which tasted like bakery quality) this breakfast was large enough that we brought some home. The latte and tea that we had topped off a great way to start the morning. Others around us were enjoying Bloody Marys which also looked terrific. We agreed that the menu as a whole had us talking about returning the next time we were in town. From eggs of any variety you can imagine, to French toast to biscuits and gravy to avocado toast to … There are a lot of great options.
