Solid spot for a date or even with a small group.Food: The empanadas here are pretty great overall. You can get them for a deal later at night (1 hour before close). That’s all I’ve had so far because the close the kitchen before actually closing. Match that with one of their incredible cocktails and you’ll be good. For real…their lineup of cocktails is wild. They’ve got plenty tequila and pisco choices. My mango margarita was fire.Atmosphere: the past owner, Brian Atinsky, put a lot of custom work into this beautiful place. It’s multi-textured and full of details. Super cool spot.Staff: solid.

Excellent restaurant. The fanesca is a traditional dish from Ecuador. It is a soup with grains and cod. The empanada de viento was very delicate. My husband an I love to eat this dish. It was exquisite. I highly recommend this amazing dish.

We went on taco Tuesday. The tacos leave a little to be desired. I had corn tortillas with mine, but they fell apart and were cold. The meat, carnitas, was very plentiful, which I loved. But it was dry and a little tough to eat. I also ordered an empanada, which was the highlight of the evening and much envied by my companions, who all ordered tacos.Besides the food, which I want to go back to try multiple other options on their menu, the service was very slow. We had a group of 4, and dinner service took 2 full hours, plus whatever time my friends waited before my partner and I got there. It was a good 20-25 mins before the waiter took our first drink order. We were there an hour before they came back for food orders. We were never asked if we wanted another round of drinks, though they did refill the waters right at the very end while we were waiting for the check. Just... So slow. And it was empty in there!Again, I want to go back, which will take a little convincing to my partner, to try other things on their menu. Maybe sit at the bar next time? That might reduce the service time significantly.

The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. We ordered locro soup, choripan, ceviche con patacon, empanadas, and lapingachos.I enjoyed everything and recalled my trips around South America many years ago.I will come back for sure! I strongly recommend this restaurant.

Dosent accept cash for payment. Really stupid way to miss out on alot of sales and make it super inconvenient for customers.

I only found out about this place because of reddit. I was so used to Chicago having many Ecuadorian places and was sad I couldn't find anything here in Milwaukee. I came on their 1 year anniversary and came three days straight lol. Amazing menu! Tacos on Tuesday I got the shrimp, fish, and carnitas and it was incredible! Would love to come back again for that. Wednesday I came for the wine with some friends and split a bottle and we all enjoyed thoroughly lol. Thursday I came with my gf and had a few small things including locro de papa and it made me miss my grandmas cooking. Chifles are good and so are the sweet plantain dessert with drizzled condensed milk. Empanadas are great and my current favorite is the mushroom one; absolutely phenomenal place! Pedro is a great guy, got to meet him and it was nice getting to know him, Gracias and congrats on 1 year!

Pedro’s South American brick and mortar restaurant is a must visit. Great happy hour deals on apps and drinks from 4pm-6pm during the week, and amazing specials with ridiculously affordable prices. Fresh ingredients, creative food, generous portions. Good spot to come if you want to share small plates with a group or are looking for a mix of meat/seafood/vegetarian offerings. Follow them on Facebook to see all of their creative offerings and specials. They keep it very up-to-date.P.s. The staff are so kind, especially the gal who is the intermediary between the kitchen and the restaurant. She has the best energy about her and made our night memorable with presence!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp up to the main door. It is narrow, but seems accessible for a wheelchair or stroller.
