The BEST birria tacos in Milwaukee hands down. I’ve tried just about everywhere and no other place stands a chance. Atmosphere is great music is too low or too loud. If you need or want something a simple look at your server and they’ll come right over. Prices for the amount of food is absolutely killer. Everything I’ve ever order from Lazo’s is full full full of flavor. If you’re visiting Milwaukee or live here, you definitely should come check Lazo’s Tacos out. Seeing door dashers come in and out without waiting for more than 5 minutes is also a great sign they are doing something correct.

This is a place that I visit maybe twice a month, I went in today and ordered my usual tacos with fresh jalapeños on the side. The waiter brought out pickled jalapeños. I then asked for fresh jalapeños and she told me she can only give me a grilled jalapeño or pickled. I was very upset because for one, I get fresh jalapeños with my food here every time I come, secondly I ordered a spicy strawberry margarita and the margarita had fresh jalapeños in it. So I complained and said you added fresh jalapeños to my drink but won’t give me any for my food. And she yelled, we are under new management. I’d rather take my money to another Mexican restaurant. Service was terrible. I’ll probably never visit again

Given the name I thought it was going to be a quick grab and go scenario. This wasn't the case as our party of 3 was seated and waited 15-20ish minutes for our food. The Birria tacos and Al Pastor tacos were fantastic. I would skip the Giant Burrito as it was pretty bland. Service was the most glaring issue with no refills on water or salsa as well as having no extra napkins available at the table for what can be a messy meal (Birria). The restaurant can also be very cramped as it isn't a large space. Easy 4/5-star review if service improves.

The best Birria Tacos in town!!! Staff are great, location chill. I need to branch out and try other things on their menu, but I can't drift away from their Birria!

I came here with friends after a event at the Baird center. Thankfully, no wait and I tried the Lazo's Taco Dog, it was amazing to have and tempting to order another to go. I definitely will come back when I come to Milwaukee.

The past two times I've come here My experience has been far from good! This afternoon I decided to stop by for a quick bite before heading to class at matc down the street. I ordered a chicken torta no lettuce to go and a margarita to sip on while I waited for my food. Almost 30 mins of waiting while every last one of the female waiting staff stuffed their faces with food, laughed and joked. I had to go out of my way to remind the skinny one that I was still waiting for my food. She handed the food to me and something told me to look at my order and it's cold WITH LETTUCE ON IT! After bringing it to her attention, she instantly got an attitude and told me that I never said that! No apology or offer to try and fix the problem. I already waited for 30 minutes and was late for class but was willing to forgive that because I'm a bartender and part time waiter myself. I even tipped her 20 percent just for taking a Togo order. Yeah I'm definitely not returning

I had the Birria tacos and the meat didn't taste seasoned as well as the juice. It was very bland. The server did bring me some hot peppers to spice it up. I may try again in the future this was my first time having Birria tacos so I want to go somewhere else to see if flavor is supposed to be present.

Always love finding great places with authentic Mexican food on my travels and not the typical tex-mex garbage... The food was amazing and the staff is quite friendly. Definitely plan on dining here often while in town.

Absolutely fantastic beef tacos and fajitas. The pico de gallo is some of the best I've ever had.

Starting with the good: the Birria was one of the best we've ever had. If you're going to have anything here, this should be it. The Tostado we had was also on point. Constructed beautifully and delicious. The Taco was fine. No complaints but no wow factor either. You can't order an Enchilada ala carte but you are able to get a single one as a part of a dinner plate (one taco, one tostada, one enchilada). I don't know that seems weird but okay. The enchilada itself was just okay. It had a thicker sauce, wasn't very warm and had a cold spot in the center which really bummed me out. While the chimichanga had good flavor--it's so big that the bites you take become unbalanced. Instead of the perfect bite of a little shell, meat, and cheese, you often end up with one or the other. We'd rather have a couple smaller chimi's. The rice and beans were cold and had no flavor at all. While I understand sides are prepared in a larger portion ahead of time for quick turnaround--that should never happen. I don't know if it was an off day for them but we left thinking exactly what I opened with: if you're going to get anything here, get the Birria.
