Being from the Caribbean and having a hard time finding decent food this definitely brought me back home and I can tell you we will be returning! The employees were so kind, food and drinks were brought out pretty fast and fresh and hot. Our drinks were delicious! I was very nervous to bring my boyfriend here because he is extremely picky and to hear him say he wants to come back made me so happy. We had the dumplings, stew chicken, plantains and conch fritters.chicken fell right off the bones annd juicy, fritters fried to perfection and those fried dumpling were a perfect treat. All were to our liking! We certainly will be back and recommend to our friends, so happy to know a I can get a lil taste of home so close by!

Great food, drinks and atmosphere!!We'll definitely be back to try more food and drinks because every item we tried was phenomenal. They have a wide variety of cocktails from Old Fashioneds to many more tropical varieties. We sampled the run punch and it was perfect, with no shortage of rum.Next up was the egg roll. They offer veggie, shrimp and chicken. We tried the chicken and it was delicious and flaky. Then we tried one of the Jamaican patties. We had to veggie one and it was super flavorful. I honestly had no idea what to expect as I haven't had one before but it sort of reminded me of an empanada but more of pastry style that was super light and flaky.Lastly we finished our time there with the meatballs. Which were delicious. They were like an upscale version of the crockpot meatballs you have at parties. Super fresh and delicious. I could make a meal out of those alone if I didn't have to share them.We had other plans for dinner later so that was where we stopped our tasting adventure but now I am excited to go back and try the entrees!

I would love it if this restaurant was on the east side of Madison Wisconsin. There are no Jamaican restaurants in Madison. The food at Mobay Cafe was great, and this is coming from a Caribbean person, so you know big up yourself and open up in Madison WI.

I am not well versed in Jamaican food but on my visit here I tried a beef patty and oxtails. The food was flavorful and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also thought the portion size was good. The restaurant is decorated with bright colors and it was easy to find street parking. When I'm in the mood for more Jamaican food Mobay cafe would definitely be on the list to try again.

I recently relocated to the United States from Jamaica, and over the course of several months, I've tried everything to make myself feel at home in this new environment. I've tried various restaurants, visited numerous places, and engaged with so many different people in my pursuit. However, none of these experiences quite captured that sense of belonging I longed for. Then, one day, I decided to step into Mobay Cafe. The very first bite of their food instantly transported me back to my grandma's living room, despite the fact that I was sitting in Mobay Cafe, a distant 1798 miles away from Jamaica. It wasn't just the food that struck a chord in my heart; it was the music , it was the art , it was the ambiance. Everything just made me feel at home. From that moment on, Mobay Cafe became my go-to dining spot in Milwaukee. If you're in search of an authentic taste of Jamaica and a welcoming ambiance, Mobay Cafe is the only destination. It's more than just a restaurant; it's a heartfelt slice of the place I call home tucked nicely in the heart of Milwaukee.Oh and big up miss nadz same way enuh !!!
