Always fantastic- went for my wife's birthday and literally every thing was tasty and delicious- everything- amazing lamb carpaccio, excellent, not fatty pork belly- even the salads were really flavorful. Service, from changing our party size to helping with the surprise, was also

Morel is one of those places for me that whenever I go, I always ask myself why I don't come more often. The service is always amazing, love the atmosphere inside and the foods the best part! Morel gives the option to be adventurous and try new things with their menu, and so far I haven't tried anything I didn't like. Highly recommend! Oh, and their cocktails are some of the best in MKE!

We decided to do a quick overnight trip to Milwaukee, where we chose to dine at Morel. This a very cute farm-to-table restaurant in the downtown area that takes pride in their concept. Overall, it was good, but there were a few things we felt that were missing in our meal, that if they were there, it would have put the restaurant over the top. For appetizers, the shining star was the lamb carpaccio (heck, probably the best dish of the entire meal). It was the perfect balance of the meaty goodness you look for in carpaccio, balanced with the right amount of acid. We also got the oyster mushroom and polenta. The polenta was well-made, but the dish was a bit one note. For entrées, we got the pork shoulder, short rib, and lamb shoulder. Our biggest complaint for all three was that they were all very meaty but didn't have something to balance the dish. For example, it would have been great to have a mashed potato or some sort of starchy puree with the dish. I did notice in past iterations that was how the dish was prepared. I loved the brat that came with the pork shoulder, but while tender, the pork shoulder generally lacked seasoning. The beef short rib was also very tender but could have used more seasoning as well. The lamb merguez was probably the most seasoned out of all the dishes. Overall, it's a decent option, and the staff is super nice.

This was probably the best meal I have ever had. Restaurant has great atmosphere and the staff was wonderful. Can't say enough good things about the experience we had there. Great job Morel.

The food here was delicious! All farm to table and fresh ingredients. The staff was super friendly too and helped direct us to some of the best dishes. We shared a bunch of and 1/2 board, lamb carpaccio, rabbit ragout, and the pork belly. Amazing!

What an exquisite dining experience at Morel restaurant in Milwaukee! From start to finish, every detail was impeccably executed, leaving me impressed and wanting to come back and try everything. The Short Ribs were tender, succulent, and bursting with flavor, they were an absolute highlight of the evening. Cooked to perfection, each bite melted in my mouth, leaving behind a symphony of rich, savory goodness. The Smoked Pork Belly was incredible. Crispy on the outside, yet incredibly tender on the inside, it was a delightful balance of textures and flavors. But it wasn't just the food that impressed me. The ambiance was elegant yet inviting, the service attentive without being overbearing, and the attention to detail truly remarkable. From the warm welcome at the door to the expertly crafted cocktails, every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch.

Favorite spot in MKE. Morel is an absolute gem! Impeccable service. Everything on the menu is stellar but must have dishes are the mouthwatering short rib and heavenly burrata. A must-visit for any food enthusiast!

Had an amazing experience last night at Morel! A friend and I sat at the bar and the bartender Madison was SO helpful with recommendations on both food and drinks. We got an oyster mushroom polenta appetizer which was great, I got the braised beef short rib which was amazing, the dish as a whole was very flavorful. My friend got the rainbow trout which was good though I'd say maybe a bit less exciting for the price. I do understand fine dining is pricier and felt it was worth it though I did wish there were just a couple other sides to come with some of the dishes & for the cocktails they're pre-mixed so I wasn't able to customize one of the drinks I was interested in with a different liquor. One more suggestion is to put felt tips on the bottoms of the chairs as the dragging sound is a bit jarring for the otherwise relaxing atmosphere. Overall, it was a great experience and we'd definitely come again. Once again shoutout to Madison her service was 10/10 in both professionalism and her great personality. :)

I rarely leave reviews but I can’t help myself with this one… this place was absolutely amazing, I truly have no idea what took me so long to make it here. The food was incredible, highlights for me being the pork shoulder and beef short rib… cooked to perfection. The goat cheesecake was to die for. Service was top notch. Start to finish it was such an excellent meal and already can’t wait to go back.

We ordered several things. The ham honey biscuit was actually my least favorite of everything we ordered, however it was still very good. We proceeded with the lamb carpaccio was something like I’ve never had before. Thin, cold cut lamb was an out of this world experience. We ordered the Farroto vegetarian dish as an appetizer and the beef short rib to finish. The final was the chocolate terrine which was a condensed chocolate moose accompanied with a very good sauce and topped with a few pistachios. Carson was our waiter and provided superb service. The atmosphere was the only thing I felt a little lacking, but I’d much prefer lacking atmosphere over lacking food. . I will be returning for sure, one of the best all around meals I’ve had

In Milwaukee for a volleyball tournament and my son wanted a burger as usual. We attempted to be seated at his choice of location however there was a 30 minute wait time. Not bad but I assumed we could do better. To our benefit Morel was next door and the gentleman whom greeted us was able to seat us right away. Due to the menu being a bit more than burgers I ordered for him as well as myself. Needles to say my son is a changed man. The food was exquisite. Being from Chicago my standards are high when I spend my money and this place exceeded all of my expectations. I had the pork and he the lamb but the preparation of the two I refuse to distort and strongly advise you to try it for yourself. Met the chef/owner on the way out whom seem to be a humble fellow that enjoy wowing the hell out of people because that is exactly what he did for us. We were told to come back in May/June for the fish and I've already blocked my calendar.

The perfect date night spot with amazing food and service! A highlight dish was the beef short rib. I can't wait to return again!

Morel has consistently been my husband's and my favorite restaurant, always delivering on presentation, experience, and dynamic, flavorful dishes. The recent experience with the rabbit belly was exceptional, with the meat proving tender and juicy. Our go-to items, like the pork belly (chef's kiss), honey ham biscuit, and seasonal fricassee, never disappoint. For those seeking top-notch quality in food, service, and drinks, a visit to Morel is highly recommended.
