Love having this co-op in the neighborhood. I frequent here so much and love supporting them. Their selection is pretty dang good for being such a small shop, and they have reasonably priced local eggs. The grab and go cooler is so convenient, often have fresh baked goods at the counter, a good bulk selection where I can bring my mason jars in and fill them up, and they always have fresh locally roasted coffee for cheap. Missing the cafe but hoping there’s more and more pop up events!Editing to say I’m not sure why that person below me is so pressed about it costing $120 to join the co-op, it’s literally $20 for the year. Maybe for the lifetime benefits but you don’t have to pay that up front. You don’t have to be a member to shop here either.

Really disappointed in this place. I wanna support local icons like this, but sorry not sorry, their prices are ABSOLUTELY outlandishly overpriced. It's insane to charge so much. And to join you must pay $120? Omg. What a ripoff. I really wanted to love this place, but the last draw was the fact that their cafe serving hot foodie sandwiches would not serve us bc we arrived around 1pm so I'm like, wow, because they only serve food from 4-8pm. Plenty of places to get vegan or veggie food and pantry and grocery items without these prices. I just can't get over my disappointment. Everything SO cramped in aisles, too. I'm a very savvy shopper so I purposely price checked a few items I get often at my usual grocery stores and this co-op's prices were at least 200-300% markup. One item I buy often at whole foods for $3 is $10 here. I laughed aloud, it was so absurd. And the staff wasn't friendly, didn't seem happy. And that $120 price tag to join?! For what? Boo, no, nope, no thanks.????

I love the Riverwest Co-op and Cafe! They have great local, organic and vegan/vegetarian options and it's such an important resource for the community. I volunteered here and got an extra 10% off. Highly recommend checking it out and supporting the co-op!

Every neighborhood needs a Riverwest Co-Op!!! Sad that the cafe is no longer open BUT you can still get a BBQ tofu wrap and other classics in the deli cooler.

Quality food for a reasonable price! I got the grilled cheese and tomato soup and it was very hearty and filling. Great service and the atmosphere is perfect for a cozy fall day. Also recommend the hot apple cider while it's in season.

Good food, limited but healthy options and the staff is friendly. A bit smaller than I expected but hey quality over quantity!

Word on the street says it might go under, but I hope not. Love the vegan options. Their covid obsession seems to have led to their insolvency, though...

A refreshing change from your average grocery store, the Riverwest Coop carries a wide range of healthy foods, many locally sourced. The environment is peaceful, the staffing is mainly volunteer and friendly. The cafe serves excellent vegetarian and vegan dishes, and had a deli case.

I'm so happy the cafe is open for take out again! We got sandwiches and a smoothie and everything was delicious. The co-op is great for grabbing forgotten ingredients for dinner, too.
