Thanks Rock Bottom for a great evening! Great place for dinner before a show! (Don't listen to the bad reviews, folks!)Thanks to Jess (General Manager) and Georgina for taking great care of us tonight! We had an 8 pm show nearby. Rock Bottom really helped us out, because we could make reservations for dinner there. We were running late, they took great care of us - pushed back our reservation, got our order quickly, and made sure we got our food with time to eat before the show! They also helped us get a table in a quiet corner! Thank you!!!My wife was pleasantly surprised that the menu had lots of vegetarian options. She had a veggie bowl and enjoyed it. I had a Philly Cheese Steak, which was delicious and had a nice bite to it. The fries are delicious! My son enjoyed a chicken sandwich and fries. They let me taste a couple of beers, which I always appreciate! I had an IPA which was good. Overall, thanks for a great evening!For the folks leaving bad Google reviews - it's a common courtesy to inform the manager on duty of your concerns at the time of service. Give them a chance to address your issue! If they don't fix it, then it would be appropriate to take your complaints to a larger forum. We all know COVID has been rough - all businesses are having trouble getting staff, training staff, and keeping staff!

From the host's friendly welcome, to the most engaging waitress (Heather), to the most mouth-watering burger cooked to perfection, our experience was top notch. Would definitely recommend and we'll definitely return.

It started with we validate parking but not really. You have to pay anyway, no discount on 2 hours. Then the service was simply not good. Used a nasty cloth to clean the table while we were there, we all did t order beer so got dirty looks and she just wasn’t attentive or helpful. Finally, and perhaps the worst, the food was just terrible. Ordered the tomato basil soup to start and it was like they poured a bad pasta sauce in a bowl. So thick, no flavor, over salted, clearly had sat too long and then tried to push it off on a customer to save money. Then when the waitress asked how the meal was and I responded with not great, the soup is much too thick and salty, she just said oh, and kept on walking away. No apology, no offer to fix it, nothing. She wasn’t even listening. Never again. Save yourself some time and get a much better meal almost anywhere else.

This place has fallen so far. Stopped in recently before a concert and the whole vibe was just... sad. Zero ambience - lights were cranked up bright, music was inaudible, and the patrons there looked like exhausted business travelers. Sat at the bar for some drinks and noticed dirty dinner plates in two separate locations on the bar. They weren't removed at all. And the margarita on the menu claims to be made with reposado tequila and Cointreau but it just tasted like 8oz of cheap bottled mix. The bartender spent her time talking with friends at the end of the bar and had to be asked twice by two different patrons to settle up our tabs. Totally inattentive and didn't even thank us for stopping in. Absolutely the last time I ever set foot in this place.

Great service and food. Stopped by for happy hour and had the devils eggs and brisket sandwich. Both extremely delicious. The beer was great tasting and at a rock bottom price during happy hour. Two beers for around $5 or so. Can't go wrong.

We went on a Friday night before a concert at the Riverside. Hadn't been there in years. Service: our server seemed to be doing her best but was definitely overworked . I'm sure they are understaffed, like most places. I was glad we allowed extra time before the concert. Service was slow. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks. We were there for about 90 minutes. Food: We both ordered the fish fry. It's pricey, $22! But you get four large pieces of fish. The fish looks like oversized egg rolls! But it's tasty. I would have liked it if they had a half size order option. My husband is a big guy and it was tough for him to finish it all. I am much smaller and definitely could not eat that much fish. I would have been happy with half the fish for maybe $15. Because we were headed to a concert and not going home, and it was 60 degrees out, I couldn't get a doggie bag for my leftovers. I'd give four stars four food flavor but gave three because there's no option for a small order. And three stars for slow service.

Standard but a safe bet! Nothing fancy but outstanding beer! Definitely recommend river view tables even if you're served from plastic cups lol

Staff were not very friendly or attentive. Service was lacking basic things, such as not offering straws, napkins or silverware. Even after asking our server twice for napkins, we did not receive any. They seemed to be short staffed and then also hurried us out the door, even though we were still finishing drinks. Very lackluster spot in downtown milwaukee with many other excellent spots to try.

So...walking along river walk was a really neat spot, with an outdoor bar. There were 2 guys at the bar and a bartender who I assume also serviced the outdoor patio seating. 3 of us sat down, weren't even acknowledged for over 5 minutes. We went inside to the bar area. Funky smell. Inside bartender acknowledged us, served us a beer. She was out... used the bathroom it was fairly filthy, look inside kitchen area and it was dirty and messy. Cleanliness is Just being ignored . We're super glad we didn't order food. So empty for a Friday lunch spot. We're not commenting on food as we didn't eat, but I'm guessing from the inattentive cleaning procedure in place I wouldn't trust the food. That's a real guess though....

So we had a reservation for two five tops and two of our guests were not able to attend for dinner. Our waiter his name was Will was fantastic. He was witty and attentive and was never bothered or inconvenienced. He was so good. The food was great the drinks were great and honestly I will definitely be back. But I will tell you service makes all the difference in the world.

So, the food and beer is pretty good here. I do think there is some level of mismanagement based on understaffing and inability to cook sufficiently to keep up with their crowd.It’s a big place, but their capacity doesn’t seem to be limited to the chairs, but something in the kitchen.
