This cozy Italian restaurant used to be our favorite in Milwaukee. Last two dinners there have been disappointing. Chicken piccata had a heavy tasteless cream like wallpaper paste and the Bolognese was way below previous delicious standard. Hope things get back on track.

Amazing, from top to bottom. Great food, great service. I've been 3 times for dinner & have always left happy! Make a reservation on the weekend.

We had a beautiful dinner at Tenuta's Italian - Bay View last night. Got there early at 5, and it was hopping! We had: -carpaccio (best I've ever had...meat was so tender and beautifully balanced with capers, cheese, and arugula) -Agnello pasta: Lamb meatballs, Calabrian chilies, tomato cream sauce, penne, goat cheese -Pan seared salmon, snap pea risotto, melted leeks, cherry tomatoes, brown butter, thyme -tiramisu....OMG. We started off dinner with garlic bread, and kids had an amazing thin crust pizza, but didn't manage to grab pics. First time here, and won't be my last. Intimate space with outstanding service and food was 10/10! Highly recommend. A++++++ --

Walking in this is a nice place. We arrived approximately 25 minutes prior to our reservation as we had a baby sitter and it was a MUCH needed date night, and we were excited. The other couple had not yet arrived and we offered to the hostess to sit at the bar. The hostess said it was okay to sit at the table as it was ready. We sat down and our pleasant waiter introduced himself and asked for a drink order. We got the black walnut bootlegger and a glass of wine. Cocktail was actually fantastic and I would be having a few more. Waiter came back with the drinks and we ordered an appetizer - bruschetta - it was okay. No complaints but also not the best bruschetta I've ever had. Our friends arrived about 3 min after the reservation and sat down. The waiter came and took their drink order while they looked at the menu. When he came back, they ordered calamari and another app but I don't recall what it was. My wife and I ordered the formaggio board. This was actually really quite good. Yes this was our second appetizer but like I said we don't often get date nights. Eventually the waiter took our plates and we ordered dinner. Absolutely nothing felt rushed at this point. We ordered the bistecca and tagliata. They brought us a bread bowl and our salads. We finished these up and they brought out our entrees. There was another round of drinks in here as well. Both entrees were okay. Nothing amazing to write about but also nothing bad. It was all okay. We finished dinner and the waiter asked us if we would like dessert. We ordered dessert and another round of cocktails. We were having fun and spending money and life was good. We just finished part of our desserts and this is where things got a little weird. The waiter brought us containers for our dessert and that was fair cause we were done with it. He brought us our bill and we were finishing our drinks. It wasn't 30 seconds after we signed our check for 270.00 and handed our waiter a 60.00 cash tip, that the hostess (who I believe doubled as the manager) came over to us and said that she needed our table. It was frustrating because we were spending money the entire time we were sitting there. It was one of the rudest things I have ever experienced in a dining setting. I've told a few couples about our experience today(some in the service industry) and everyone agrees that it was out of line. It was busy, yes, but It could have been handled much differently. The way this would be handled at most places is the hostess would have asked if we could have moved to the bar so that they can free up the table. She could have done things so much differently. I felt extremely unappreciated. I felt very rushed and undervalued as a customer. My date night with my wife and friends turned out to be embarrassing and we walked out of there in awe of what happened. If you like this restaurant, I am very happy for you, they have been there for a long time and do good business. I've been here before and enjoyed it. That said, on this day, the experience was really unfortunate and frustrating and with more and more good italian restaurants popping up in the area I would encourage you to try out some of the others.

This place is tiny but ohmygod the food, the FOOD!! Every single thing our table of 5 had was so amazing I could not pick a favorite. Highly recommend, but must have reservations well in advance.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Tenuta's this weekend! I failed to make a reservation so we sat at the bar, but the experience was not compromised at all. It was very cozy and the bartender was extremely attentive and sweet, I wish I had caught her name to give her a shout-out. We highly recommend the carbonara, bistecca and cannolis!

Your very friendly neighborhood Italian restaurant. Casual vibes but still a nice dining environment. Large portion size for the price. We got Antipasto, Bolognese, Diavola Small Pizza (sub with meatball) and Tiramisu for $61 and took home half of the food. Plus complementary bread and butter and soup for any entrees. Everything was delicious and all the red sauces are on the sweeter side. Street parking is easy. Would recommend this restaurant!

Got take out pizza from here about a week ago and it was incredible! Loved the thin crust and toppings. Some of the best pizza we have had in WI. Would love to come back to eat inside and try some of their Italian food... looks great!

Had one of our favorite meals in Milwaukee at Tenuta's. The ambiance, the service, and the ease of everything was so great. I love that their reservations are still call in only. The food was fantastic! We had the arancini, which were delicious (if a tad bit small), and we ended up getting some garlic bread and sauce after seeing burrata pass by. I got the chicken parm and my partner got the bolognese which were both incredibly good, but after our apps and soup/salad we both didn't eat a ton and ended up taking home hefty entree portions, which was absolute perfection. The drinks were VERY good. I got the limoncello drink, which was decent, and my partner had a cocktail with basil, which was DIVINE. We will absolutely be back soon. We thought about going next weekend for my birthday, but I think we'll wait another few weeks and come for some other special occasion. Highly recommend.

Hard to get a table. We asked for reservations for 4P. They said we couldn't get a table until 8P. There were plenty of tables when we got there, and those weren't filled until 5P. We could've been served and out by then.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible
