Despite some of our behavior which was disruptive at times, we unfortunately found cockroaches a number of times throughout our stay directly above the cafe. I can amend this post if necessary at the owners request because they asserted they were box elder box elder bugs and threatened to call the police if not vacated which we did immediately. I understand the complaint about noise in a very loud, poorly insulated building but at the same time the complete disregard for cockroaches above a restaurant was quite disconcerting. They did never contact the police which we appreciated and we never contacted the fda or anything but I think people should be warned that there are roaches in the building

Came here today with my dad. Saw a sign that read "grab a menu and find a seat we will bring you things" there were no menus- no one aknowledged us even though we were sitting at the bar for over 15 minutes. The self serve coffee was cold and only 1/4th of a cup left. Went back to sit at the bar and waited even longer. Finally we gave up and walked out- sorry we didnt pay for 1/4th cup of cold coffee. We took our buisness to Pointers Cafe. Bummer the pastries and food looked good- but the service was just terrible.

Cafe 43 is officially our go-to restaurant in town! My husband and I ordered delivery from this awesome place and the food was brought right to our door (a service generally unheard of in Mineral Point). The food was fantastic, fresh, and appears to be locally sourced. It's been ages since I had a proper sourdough bread, and theirs really hit the spot. The price was more than reasonable too, we will definitely be back <3

I always get the BLAT on sourdough. It's so fresh and yummy. Molly and her team are always kind and welcoming. I love to sit at the bar or in the window and listen to the music they have playing, watching people while I enjoy my iced coffee or beer.

Great place to grab a bite to eat or a warm beverage during the day. Lots of different seating, so you could even get some work done if you'd want. Very friendly staff.

Our first visit to Cafe 43, and all four of us were impressed, and walked away happy! I got the waffle, which came with orange slices, powdered sugar, and syrup, and I also ordered a side of bacon. Very cozy atmosphere, and a great location near the edge of town, with historic buildings all around! My specialty coffee drink was also tasty, and my wife loved her tea. We sat right next to the fireplace, which was wonderful, and we did not have to wait long for our food at all. Reasonable prices. We'll be back!

I really enjoy everything about Cafe 43 in Downtown Mineral Point, WI. The ambiance of Cafe 43 starts with hardwood floors, a fireplace, and huge windows, along with a variety of seating options, both indoors and out - weather permitting. Friendly and competent staff, work within the high ceilings and white walls adorned with original art, to make this a sure bet for an intimate lunch, a meeting of friends, or a person looking for great music, and a chance to quietly observe the world from this historic former hotel. I initially went to their lovely little market, where I found wonderful Amish Salsa, fresh-milled organic flours, local Hooks cheeses, pastas, soups, and plenty more, but eventually found myself drawn to the cafe next door for barista coffees and teas. If I was a drinking woman, I would have loved to sit at their beautiful Hickory(?) bar, but instead, I have enjoyed several meals made to order, that I found delightful, generous, and rather more cosmopolitan that I expected for a town of this size. Despite their rigorous attention to the variety and quality of food provided, the cafe retains a friendly and competent air of casual welcoming. I have found myself recommending the cafe to friends and strangers alike, even trying once, (actually twice!) to lure some visiting people whom I overheard talking about lunch options! Yes, I recommend Cafe 43! Heartily!

The breakfast bowl was amazing. I had mine with quinoa , avocado, eggs over easy, it was served over kale and mixed greens with a very tasty sauce. My guest had a bed of roasted potatoes which were beautifully crispy. Another guest had the breakfast sandwich which seemed to have everything bagel seasoning on the bread, scrambled egg and bacon with a lovely side of fruit. The coffee and tea was delicious. The service was excellent. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. The Ambiance was very quaint settled into an old house with big windows.

Food was good. I had the bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomatoe on sour dough bread, good selection of coffees, loved the older building, wood floors, everyone was friendly. Would stop back again. As we hadn't been there before, didn't know how we were to order until we asked another customer. You look at a clipboard with menu items then order at the cash register, self serve water.

Unfortunately this place does not understand, respect or take seriously people’s food allergies or severe intolerance. I specifically asked about gluten free options, I was told they would be able to accommodate, and later realized my sandwich was not gluten free, as I suffered through the severe side effects. This is really disappointing and concerning.
