The service was slow. We had one hour for lunch. We needed them to repackage food in to go containers, and that took another 9 minutes. We were charged more than what was posted on the board or menu because they were "in the process of changing prices" - best practice is change prices on printed material before you change prices in the register.

The people were SO nice but the service was REALLY SLOW. I think they were backed up so it's not all on them, maybe they were short-handed, but it took nearly an hour to get a wrap, coffee, and a burrito or something like that, and while the price was low, they were quite small. The ambience was really nice, like being back and mom's house. I did really like that. And again, the staff were very very nice.

A beautiful hidden gem! Great coffee, fantastic food, reasonable prices, and lovely atmosphere. My partner and I very much enjoyed camping out in the corner with our coffee and food on our laptops to work for a couple of days. Probably our favorite place in Monroe that we will definitely return to next time we’re in town.

The outside doesn't give this little local gem justice. Cute, homey place with great coffee. We didn't have any food but the coffee options were on point. They offer lunch and sweet treats as well as coffee. The girl who checked us out and made our drinks was super friendly. Just a 4 min. drive from historic downtown it is worth the drive on the way in or out. The bathroom was clean and large. Lots of table seating inside and a couch towards the back. Plenty of parking too. I appreciate that they provided wonderful service even though they were open on a day when others were closed for the holiday. We called ahead to make sure since many other businesses' didn't update their hours. This pregnant mama was very happy to have her iced coffee in this July heat.Kid-friendliness: Lots of space and table seating

Perks is a hidden gem in Monroe! I got an iced americano with oat milk and it was divine, plus the turkey cranberry sandwich was so flavorful and fresh! The girl who took my order was extremely sweet and carried my coffee out to me, and I could tell whoever the chef is made my sandwich with love. I'm visiting from CA and will definitely make this stop if I'm ever in the area again and need something fresh and delicious!

So we thought Pancho and Lefty‘s was the only really great restaurant in town. We were wrong. Perks Coffee Café, despite its unprepossessing exterior, was just unbelievably good. It was a very pleasant physical space, had really nice employees, and we had a couple of extraordinarily good and creative sandwiches.

We've lived in Monroe for almost 2 years, and I've passed by this place again and again, unimpressed with the way it looks from outside. But after having seen a few positive reviews, my wife and I finally stopped in for lunch today. Was immediately impressed with the look of the place inside: charming, pleasant, clean. But even more impressed with the food. I had a chicken wrap with peach salsa and my wife had a ham sandwich on focaccia. Both of them were excellent. Perks Coffee Café immediately jumped to the top of our list as one of our favorite restaurants in town.

Don't let the cover fool ya. The inside is welcoming, comfortable and friendly just like the staff. The coffee and scones were great. I highly suggest.

Asian salmon with rice and veggies were very tasty. Quality over quantity. It takes a little longer but it's worth it if you have the time to spare.I took my Dad out for lunch and we were able to sit back and enjoy our coffee and talk while we waited for our food. It is a very relaxing atmosphere.
