I stopped here after going to Sendik's for some fresh seafood based on the word of mouth of an employee I meet from Sendik's in my hang out spot that said it's always fresh and since I haven't been here in years I noticed this pub in the strip mall. This would end up being the new restaurant of the week the following weekend so I stopped by. The place was absolutely dead on Saturday around 2pm with only one table of 3 d guys having no food and just beers over a business lunch it seemed so I'm thinking the food is not all that. Since nothing is going on I order a Gin Rickey and and looking at the dark dead kitchen I ask if the kitchen is open and I was handed a menu and told yes. I was going to do a burger until I saw the every day 3 piece cod fish fry and thought every day fish frys are super rare in the Milwaukee area and it's been a while so I ordered it fully knowing that it would be all frozen food for a reasonable $11.50. The place is dimly lit with a pool table, games, music machine, bar, tables etc etc and not really a dive like a reviewer said by Milwaukee standards because I have been to some super divy bars. My food came quickly and it was hot cooked to order because I was the only person having food and the plate looked good with three average golden cod battered fillets, seasoned frys, coleslaw, rye bread and tarter sauce. The seasoned frys were great because they were hot out of the fryer and seasoned well with a thin crispy shell and soft center. The rye bread was fresh and buttered and I made a fish sandwich with it. The coleslaw was commercial and cold/crunchy which was a nice texture vs hot soft food. The battered cod was like a beer batter with very average size pieces that had a crispy batter and tender moist flakey cod meat inside. Overall was it the best most favorite fish fry, no. Was it a good fish fry on a day where you can hardily get a fish fry at all, yes. Was it good at the $11.50 price point when you consider that the fast food sandwich combos are in that ball park and not hot fresh from the kitchen just cooked. Would I go back for the fish fry on a day that's not a fish fry day, yes because it satisfies my fish fry crave.

Stopped for early dinner and we're disappointed. Used to have great burgers, now they were dry and small. Small menu too

Not too much to say except it is wide open, maybe the setup from COVID 19.

A nice local bar & grill. Great selection of tap beers, including local beers such as Eagle Park Brewing. Single serve small bottles of wine are available as well. My wife and I have been here a few times recently. The new owners have made some updates. A divider wall has been removed to open up the space, fresh paint on the walls, and the restrooms have been nicely remodeled. Food & drink service is very quick. My wife loves their Ceasar Chicken Wrap. I like their burgers and the grilled chicken sandwich. If you'd like to try a new burger, then order the Crunch Wrap Burger...you will not be disappointed. Lastly, for a late night snack with friends, get the chicken tenders basket. It's enough to share! One last note is the gambling games along the back wall. This isn't our thing, but they must pay out well as they are always busy. It's a nice local bar & grill.

Sometimes I just want some deep fried, super crispy chicken strips. You know the feeling. I was in New Berlin running errands and remembered seeing this unassuming place in the Sendik's strip mall. I pulled in and had to double check because the surrounding businesses have glass doors and this has dark, wooden doors. But alas, the illuminated Bud Light sign told me it was in there somewhere. It was about 1:00pm on a Sunday so it was super slow. They have arcade games, a pool table, gambling machines, and a pull tab machine. The bar is small but there are a ton of high top tables.I grabbed a table and was happily surprised by the large food menu. The only worker, the bartender, came over right away. I offered to jump up to the bar for orders but he assured me that it wasn't an issue to get table service. I ordered a beer and my strips. Beer came right away, strips took about 10 minutes. The basket came with super thick french fries and both were crispy and hot. The fries were incredible! I did sit with an empty beer a couple times so I went up to the bar to get a new one. Same with the check, had to run up to the bar - he was talking and playing dice. The bar was completely full with regulars, and everyone was sloshed so it was super loud. Doesn't bother me. I can shut down the hasslers, and I did. For three beers and my strip basket it was just over $17, so not bad. If the townie bar atmosphere doesn't bug you this is a solid stop for some bar food!

I stopped in with my son this afternoon for a couple of St. Patty's day takeout dinners. The bartender explained that, unfortunately, these traditional dinners were for dine in only. After explaining why I wanted these to go, they readily agreed to accommodate my request. I had heard that the corned beef and cabbage was excellent. It WAS really good. Thanks.

This place gives hole in the wall bars a bad name. Obviously very dirty upon entering the building. Men's room was completely disgusting. Urinal was not in working condition, only blocked off by a piece of cardboard. Bartender was completely rude and insulting to my wife when she asked questions about ordering takeout. It was clear the bartender did not want to do any cooking and therefore gave her attitude when she tried to confirm that she could in fact order food to go. I would highly recommend that nobody go to this business, given its depressing atmosphere, filthy restroom with unacceptable attitude from its employee. I'm only giving this bar one star as the software will not allow me to give zero stars.

This was a quiet local bar that has great drinks and simple and good bar food! The bartender handled everything including the cooking. We went on a Monday night and it was nice a relaxing.
