“We ate at Gondola for the first time on Saturday night. The food was excellent! I love Italian food and this chef hit it out of the ballpark! My beet salad was scrumptious and my gorgonzola gnocchi with prosciutto was phenomenal! We will definitely be back. It's so nice to have a restaurant in Lake Country with gourmet level food. “We lucked out when our local 'favorite' coffee shop wasn't able to serve food this morning. We now have another favorite to add to our list! We didn't ask from where their coffee was sourced, but it was some of the best we've ever had. I've always preferred plenty of cream in mine, but it smelled so good I drank it all without much cream at all!! What a great 'find!' The people, coffee, food, atmosphere all made this place a must go-to in the future. All this & yet they top it off with kind, fully capable staff that includes people with all abilities. “I love everything about this location and coffee shop. They have a nice outdoor space to relax and drink a delicious cup of coffee (or plenty of non coffee drinks). It's a good space for kids. They are always quick with service as well. My favorite drink is the Ugg boot. Their seasonal cold brews are also always great! My must have is the sausage breakfast sandwich. Whatever their secret sauce is hits the spot. We have to go here at least once a month to satisfy the craving!“

“Wandered into this gem today looking for a coffee and muffin. Was cheerefully greeted and made feel welcome immediately. I ordered a simple black coffee and blueberry muffin. The coffee was amazing and roasted to absolute perfection. The blueberry muffin was life altering though. The top/crown had just the right amount of crunch and sweetness. The blueberries had a perfect balance of sweet and tartness. It was so dense yet airy and flavorful. This thing should be on everyone's bucket list. It's that good! Here's the kicker though, they have other homemade pastries and sandwiches as well. I mean this place is a little piece of heaven! The only thing I'd would recommend is to order more than one so your not overcome with sorrow when it's gone. 10 out of 5 stars!!!“

“I had some time to kill while waiting to pick up someone, I was in town visiting from CA and thought, I really need caffeine. Yelped a few places that were close to where I was and this one popped up. Super cute little place, I could have purchased way too much. They have lots of fresh coffee, beans and espresso beans and honey and all sorts of goodies, so I check out the menu and immediately focus in on the Montecristo. I haven't had one in quite a while so I thought you know what, why not, I'll take the Montecristo and I'll also try a piece of coffee cake sitting in the display case amongst lots of goodies and a large dirty chai tea. Dirty Chai came with 4 shots of espresso, which is exactly what I needed. It came relatively fast along with a warm coffee cake. Chai tea wasn't your classic chai with cardamom and all the other spices and herbs in it but it was pretty good. It was strong and hot, it was cold out and it hit the spot. Coffee cake was absolutely amazing, super moist and buttery cinnamon crumb was nice and thick, this was on point and I loved it. Sandwich took a bit of time, actually thought they forgot about it. But it finally made its way to my table. OK . . . so I have never seen a Monte Cristo sandwich prepared like this one, I'm use to it having Mayo, Dijon Mustard, red current or raspberry jam and dusted with powdered sugar. As you can see from the photo, it wasn't "dolled up" nor pretty and it was served with a side of maple syrup. I have to admit, I was taken aback, but put a lil maple syrup on top and sliced into it, huh ok well that's not bad, a lil different, but very tasty. Instead of Mayo/Mustard I think it was Cream Cheese? Bread was a lightly dipped French Toast this is where the Maple Syrup came into play. I had a few bites, but took it to go. Came back at it the next day after heating it up in the microwave, again just a drizzle of maple syrup and finally decided, wow this is actually pretty darn good. My ONLY suggestion, the inside needed to be hotter so the cheese would be melted and gooey however, I understand that probably would be harder to achieve with the cream cheese. Overall pleasantly surprised, nice job.“

“Stopped for lunch this weekend with my father who's currently at Shorehaven for rehab. Quick, friendly service, good food and fair prices. Lady at the counter, Kelly, was super friendly and helpful. What a great part of the Shorehaven campus to have patients/residents/guests to have an option for a change of scenery and the opportunity to dine together.“

But as the woman told us, they change constantly so they can't put prices on them... “One of the best!I really do love this place. When I first passed through Oconomowoc 3 years ago by happen chance, I stopped by Roots for lunch. The experience of seeing City Beach, eating lunch at Roots, and driving through downtown Oconomowoc was enough for me to pack up and move here 4 months later from an hour away.I think they have the best coffee/Lattes in town.Their food quality/service has always been top notch.The interior is cozy and contemporary, Intimate and relaxing. This has been a repeat business I have spent $100s of dollars with in the last 3 years. I love it.I just wanted to say that it is absolutely crazy that the breakfast burrito I ate today was 1/3 filled with corn. Not even fresh corn. FROZEN CORN! I’m still shocked. The texture and taste of frozen corn is beyond recognizable and barely palatable on a plate with butter let alone wrapped up and reheated in a breakfast burrito. Ya’ll need to remove the corn and replace with potato and even bell peppers (both can be frozen and reheated) - using frozen corn in a breakfast meal as an ingredient is crazy.The other thing was I had a hard time reading the menu today with the baby blue background and fine font. I overheard the elderly couple behind me discussing the same thing.I love Roots and will continue to patronize this business - but please guys tweak that burrito a little bit ???“

“An enjoyable morning visit, it was like being transported to France! The croissants were excellent. I purchased both the chocolate and plain croissant and chose a cup of coffee to savor while soaking up the French music being played. Also picked up a baguette for later in the day. I will be returning soon!“

“It is a nice quiet place to enjoy your coffee and people-watch. The staff is great. The baristas know what they are doing and make the drink the way you want to perfection.Good selection of various sundries to buy.Do not expect a lot of seating, though. It looks to me that they took a lot of seats out of the store. I have no idea why. But at least there is seating. A sad thing for me is that so many Starbucks now are standing room only.“
