Love the food. Southern menu with huge portions and reasonable prices. Maybe the best chicken tenders I've had. I don't keep track of that and i know the bar is probably low but Gemma's breading is fire and for $10 you get more food that you can eat. I can throw back a meal but rarely get thru 3 tenders and the side of fries. Definitely try the hot honey and Nashville hot sauces I like that they added a pop a shot and the TV setup is one of the best around to watch games. Huge projection screen. Bartenders are always friendly and helpful. Vibe is still divey but kept clean. Generally packed around dinner time. I think they wanted to do more late night stuff but it's usually dead there by 10 pm the weekends. Probably more of a location thing (not walkable to other bars in winter). Would love to see a few more healthy menu options so I could eat here more often but got respect for them staying true to their theme. Overall I think Gemma's is a solid 4/5 but I rated a 5 bc no one reviews stuff in Okauchee and this place is definitely not a 3. Check it out

Had the BB2 Baconator "Smashie" (burger). Was easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long while. Definitely worth a stop!

First visit since new ownership took over a year ago, Southern cuisine a nice twist, ordered breaded wings & Johnny cakes. Food was very good, service was excellent though bar was only 1/3 full and it was early( 5:30). Will definitely try again, big screen TV a bonus if you like sports.

Ordered fried chicken. Inedible! If you can chisel through the coating, you are left with gamey, tasteless, undercooked chicken.Sides were C+ too. Waiter was pleasant and attentive. Won't be back.

Such a disappointment tonight. This place is one of my favorites. The music was so loud my Apple Watch told me it was unhealthy. Everyone was screaming to communicate. We couldn’t even handle it for one drink and left. Management said they did not control the music volume. Such a shame since the music would have been good if it was at a respectable level. The people at the next table left as well because of the sound and stated when they left they couldn’t hear each other. A shame management can’t get involved. Lost 4 customers tonight for food and drinks and I imagine many more.

Really wanted to love this place. Tried a few times but mostly swing and a miss. Drop in for burgers were perfect. Stopped in on a Friday and ordered the fish fry. Thankfully overheard they were out of tarter sauce (at 6pm) from diners next to us and decided to go elsewhere. Went for brunch on a Sunday...they don't have coffee. Basically it's just a bar...food seems to be afterthought.

Good food, but service was poor! Was pretty much ignored. Tried to get attention multiple times. Waiter never came over to see if refills were needed, never came over to see if anything was needed or even ask if food was OK. The appetizer was served after the meal was on the table. Previous experience was great this one was a no. Will NEVER be back.

My boyfriend and i just left here after having dinner. The staff are absolutely amazing. The bartenders said “Hello!” As soon as we walked in. That rocked. The gentlemen who waited on us? So kind and absolutely amazing. He rocked. Bartender who checked in on us and the gentlemen who brought our food? They rocked and were so nice. The fact they didn’t judge me for ordering 2 straight shots of Jager before my dinner……. Also rocked. Oh and our food……… you guessed it. Rocked. Highly recommend.

We had to try the roast beef po-boy, because that’s how we heard about this place…but then our waiter highly recommended the chicken tenders (apologizing that it sounded childish, “but they’re REALLY good.”) so, even though we were warned that the po-boy was a full foot long, and enough for 2 people on its own, we ordered both. Everything was true! The roast beef po-boy was as wonderful as the Milwaukee Foodie group led us to believe, and it could easily feed 2 people. The chicken tenders were Amazing and HUGE! We had waaay too much food, but it was great!Next weekend we gotta try their brunch. Everything on the menu sounded tasty.The place was comfortable, open & well lit & there was plenty of parking.
