Ziggy's does the best job of getting a good rich smokey flavor while making there ribs fall off the bone tender and moist with a beautiful bark. DEFINITELY GOING BACK OFTEN!!!!“

“Excellent chicken tenders (I got them tossed in buffalo) seasoned roast chicken and beef brisket. The best cornbread muffin I've ever had (and I've had a lot.) Wish they had beer on tap but there is a full bar. Signs for happy hour looked like good deals. Didn't love the Mac and cheese, it has corn and green chilies in it which was a flavor I wasn't looking for in that side dish. Coleslaw was solid. Service was awesome! Felt like we got decent value for money as we have leftovers for tomorrow too!“

“Best kept secret in Monona and surrounding areas! Papas BBQ is fire and without a doubt the BEST in this area! Better than even the 4.9 star bbq place in Sun Prairie! I had the brisket dinner and the meat was amazing. Perfect smokey taste with no lingering strange after taste. Brisket was buttery without being fatty or overly greasy. Meat portions are hearty but sides could be a little larger. His bbq sauce was tangy and juicy. Perfection!It doesn’t look like much from the street but please do your tastebuds a favor and just try him out!Kid-friendliness: Located inside a park. “My husband and I value delicious food, and we knew we wanted this to be highlighted at our wedding. Heritage catering did not disappoint!! We had so many of our guests share with us that this was by far the best food they had ever had at a wedding, and we absolutely agree!We had selected the braised pork shoulder, confit fjord trout, and mushroom and spinach gnocchi. All of the selections were heavenly!! The pork melted in your mouth, the trout was cooked to perfection and the gnocchi was dynamic and delicious! Heritage is on the higher end of cost in the Madison area catering, but I cannot emphasize enough that it was worth absolutely every penny. We were elated - and so were our guests.Leading up to our wedding, Betsy did a great job coordinating with us and communicating directly with Chef Dan Fox to ensure that we knew exactly what to expect given what was in season and sourced locally. The team was also very well staffed the day of our wedding and served a plated dinner to ~150 guests in a professional, efficient and effective manner.The display boards during happy hour were exquisite! “Melly Mel's catered my July 2023 wedding and to say the entire experience was fantastic would be an understament.I spent years as a wedding planner working with great caterers and some not-so-great caterers, and I was fairly selective when it came to hiring my own wedding caterer.My fiance and I wanted to work with a local caterer who offered delicious food with great service at a reasonable price. And Melly Mel's exceeded my expectations on every level completely.Their soul food is so amazingly delicious. Every single guest - including people from both coasts and the south -- said it was not only the absolute best wedding food they have ever eaten, they said it was the best southern food.We ordered fried chicken, baked chicken, smoked pulled pork, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread, collard greens, and banana pudding. All of it made from scratch and mouth-wateringly good.The tasting with Carmell went so well, and she is incredibly friendly and accommodating and organized.And I cannot rave enough about the presentation of the food at the wedding. “Food was great as normal atmosphere was phenomenal we called gave them our name and somebody screwed up our name for the waitlist then he deleted us from the waitlist after he told me I would get in 5 to 10 minutes for a group of seven 45 minutes later come to find out we're no longer on the wait list they're not even looking for a table for the seven of us we order we get our food our waitress was absolutely amazing My daughter doesn't get chicken on her Caesar salad had to wait for that they were missing two side dishes had to wait for those by the time they got my daughter's grilled chicken Caesar salad remade everybody at the table was done eating it took them 45 minutes to do that so before they brought it to the table we asked them to leave the sauce off and just box it up as I had split my meal with her already they brought it to the table in a bowl sauce and all so then they went and they picked the chicken off put fresh lettuce and everything in a to-go container put the chicken in a different container. I mean I get it it was Friday they were packed but they royally screwed up when we originally made the reservations and they double booked us under somebody else and then deleted us off the list so our 10 to 15 minute wait time turned into 45 minutes another hour to get the food another half an hour to get my daughter's corrected chicken Caesar salad All in all my son's 16th birthday turned out to be a 5-hour dinner. But most likely we'll go back because their food is as usual always good.“

I love the Saturday night special: a full slab of ribs + 2 sides with garlic bread. There's something about their fries that goes perfectly with the BBQ. If you can, stop by when they have the carrot and cashew soup. You will not be disappointed!“

“I did take out from here. Portions are very generous - my Mom and I shared the two meat platter plus (brisket and pulled pork) one a la carte side (mac & cheese). Meats were tender and flavorful and their signature sauce (on the side) was spot on. Folks working there were super friendly too.“

For appetizers we got the nachos (would recommend) cheese curds (standard fair) and the stuffed goat skins. while all were good, I was a bit disappointed in the stuffed goat skins. They were perfectly fine stuff potato skins...with maybe a crumble or two of goat cheese in each one. I expected a bit more of the goat cheese punch.For food, I got the two mean combo, brisket and kielbasa. Both delicious. Wife got the burger, moist and juicy. My sister in law got the smokehouse tacos, very good, and surprisingly big.House bbq sauce is delicious, chipotle is a probably on a spice level of the fire sauce from Taco bell“

“Love the smell of the smoker as you drive near the building! I had the rock shrimp po' boy, one of my favorite sandwiches. Others in our group had the Carolina pulled pork shoulder, prime rib dip, and pulled pork tacos. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and additional raves came for the BBQ sauce and house BBQ dusted chips. I could have eaten those all day. But I'd rather fill up on the rock shrimp... they're very large and flavorful. Can't wait to go again so I can try the brisket grilled cheese.“
