I love a good chili cheese dog and this is a great place to get one. Charlie is super friendly and love the feel of the place inside. It has a great location with plenty of parking too.

This was our first time at Charlie's. The owner was very nice and gave my son 4 quarters to use at the claw machine. Not your typical Oscar weiner/ beef frank hotdogs, it has a smokey flavor and tastes great! Drinks are awesome as well!

My fiance and I wanted to come here for one of our planned dates since 2019, and we were finally able to today! Totally worth it, the food was cooked perfectly, not greasy or overly salty. Charlie was really friendly, provided great customer service, and took the time to tell us about the hot dog mural that an Artist named Amanda painted in the diner area. Everything we ordered: Wisconsin dog, bacon sauce and cheese dog, fries, cheese curds, with two sprechers sodas, and onion rings were delicious! We eventually want to try the rest of everything on the menu. I just wish there were more options and I hope that the air conditioner eventually gets fixed. Otherwise an overall pleasant experience, we look forward to coming back someday :)

This place wasn’t as great as what we thought. The hotdogs were not what we expected. As well as the fries kinda tasted like the stuff was cooked in old oil. The man working wasn’t as friendly as what everyone else is saying. We ate inside and it was dirty spiderwebs all over.

Prices were average, it was on the higher end a tad. Didn't personally like the sausage or bacon hot dog. But there was one I enjoyed with the peppers.

Walking through the neighborhood with a historic vibe, I thought why not try this place? I got the Bratwurst Wisconsin Dog to try out the local specialty and I was not disappointed with the size of the dog, the abundance of the toppings, and the spicy pickled peppers provided with the meal (not very spicy, but a nice touch to the slight sweetness of the onions). The meal was good and the owner was kind, which definitely made for a good lunch meal. Also the craft root beer was a good refreshment to go with the Dog. I'll be coming back soon to try a different hot dog.

When you place your order you pay up front. So the person, which it turns out is the owner, KNEW what I tipped. When tipping 20 percent you have a certain expectation, which to me is not all that outrageous. Timely service and the correct order. There was my daughter, myself and another couple. Had ordered a bacon cheese foot long, and chili cheese dog to go. Yes I ordered the fries and tots as well. My daughter ordered the regular bacon cheese dog. Her order was fine, but the take out order, yeah not. While the hot dog was good, the rest, poor, the cheese stuck to the wrapper which all pulled off, and the footlong was a Chicago Dog with sauerkraut pickles and so on. NOTHING that the person who was eating liked and had to scrape it ALL off. To go back and have it redone, would have been a waste of time as it took well over 15 minutes as it was. Someone commented that he had retired and opened this place up after the cart business grew. Well, I dont know, but from what I saw and experienced, paying well over 25 bucks for poor service AND the wrong order, begs the question how does he stay open?

The food was SO good and really cheap too! $8 (tip included) for a hotdog, tater tots, and a sperchers root beer. The owner was so friendly and nice. The establishment was cozy and clean. The bathroom was also clean and easily accessible. It was super easy to park, which isn’t the case for many stores downtown. I HIGHLY recommend stopping here and treating yourself to one of Wisconsin’s finest hot dogs!

Good tasting hot dog, we went there for lunch 12:15. They had to start the water to boil the dog as we waited. Asked if we could have tomato, cucumer and mustard. Charlie said no. He'll include two toppings mustered and oinions. Did not want onions. We could have ordered a WI-dog which includes more toppings . I guess at $3.00 for a dog one should expect toppings. Disappointed....
