By far the worst Jimmy John’s in the area. I absolutely love their new sandwich, but can’t have salami. Every other Jimmy John’s I was able to substitute it for a different meat. This was the only location I could not do that I was charged like I had an extra meat on the sandwich and was told this is the only way we can do it because we can’t put these ingredients on a different sub. There was so much oil I had to wipe off my sandwich before I could even pick it up. The bread was very well done. I think I will stick to the Dells or Baraboo locations.

THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY - If you order delivery, dont expect your full order. I haven't had an order get delivered correctly in the past year. Sometimes the whole sandwich is missing, others it is the drink or side item, but they will not issue a refund or correct the order even if you call and can manage to get ahold of someone. They also will hang up the phone when you call to try and not be held responsible.Edited to add that the owner does not follow up, even after putting in a complaint through their little URL they provide.

I don't like to say much negative about customer service since I also work in that field.. but man... For something advertised as "freaky fast" this location does NOT uphold that moto. If you want something quick, this is not the spot. I feel like Portage "fast food" just lacks. I LOVE Jimmy Johns too because they're one of the few places that have the option for a lettuce wrap.. but it seems like that dietary request always urks people as an inconvenience and my order always takes 1.5hrs or plus regardless of time of day for delivery (.6 miles away) of the times I have ordered. It really is the only reason I limit JJ from my choices for a quick bite.. or I just pick bread instead, this is literally the smallest I've ever had from them and for nearly 11$ I don't find this a fair exchange for the price.

we ordered lunch for our company online the day before the event with a delivery time of 11:45 am. Our party pack was still not there at 12:15! we attempted to call several times with no answer at the store! when confronted we were told by management there would be no charge due to the lateness of the delivery which showed up at 12:30. However, the employee who ordered was still billed the entire amount! Not exactly Freaky Fast delivery or good customer service. will not order there again! very disappointed!!

The ice machine at the Portage location has been out of order for at least 3 weeks. They offer "ice from the back" but it tastes funny. There is no reason it should take 3 weeks to fix an ice machine. Also, today the country music was so loud I had to yell to order and be yelled back at. Stupidly unprofessional!! Lastly, it is so cold in this establishment I literally ate as fast as possible to get out of there. Who is managing this location? Someone is asleep at the wheel. Not coming back for a while, if ever.
