The food was wonderful. So many good things on the menu. I'll need to go back to try some different things. The service was wonderful. From the time we stepped in until we left. They were helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is very casual and a little loud. We really enjoyed the trivia questions that were popping up on the TV. We'll definitely be going back!
We had dinner at Philander's last night and it was very good. We both had the 2 piece Codfish dinners with boiled red potatoes. I had the fish chowder and my wife had a dinner salad, both very good. Out server was Nancy and she did a wonderful job of taking care of us. A very large crowd so it was a bit on the loud side. But when you have good food and service you should mind putting up with a little noise. You can bet we will be back there very soon.

First time I was there I had a cup of their homemade soup - Garlic Mushroom. It was the best tasting soup I've ever had, wish I'd gotten a bowl instead of cup and wish I'd taken some home. Have been back there a number of times since and the food is always good. Service is fast and friendly. Want to go back this summer to sit on the outside deck.

Great hole in the wall. Plastered in Packer stuff and as a Viking fan I still come here. Though I sometimes wonder if my skin will start burning as I cross the threshold into packerland. Waitresses are fantastic! The cheese curds... the OG of cheese curds and how cheese curds should be.
